Enthusiastic family with teens in tow arrived on time for reserved (credit card verified) parasail trip. Upon arrival, we were told to complete waiver forms. We innocently asked about the forms, which caused the customer service clerk, who had difficulty answering basic questions, to become quite flustered and defensive. She impatiently said they were running behind and had no idea how soon the captain would be back. Eventually, she suggested we visit the cafe next door saying we should come back within 40 minutes. Not to disappoint the teens, we finished all the paperwork and said we'd definitely be back. We even left our cell #. We arrived within 25 minutes - much earlier than we were told. The same clerk greeted us by saying oh well you missed the boat (literally); the captain came back and decided to leave again. Talk about miscommunication! She said she tried to call me (which turned out to be a feeble attempt because when we listened, the call was only a few minutes before we arrived and the clerk said the boat had already left!!??) To add to our disappointment, she said their next trip was booked so we would have to try for another day. Wow! The kids were heartbroken.
After all the misinformation, we decided not to take a chance on this company again. We booked with a competitor, even getting something the very next day. As it turns out, the competitor was less expensive and the customer service was top notch. Everything went off flawlessly. I’m thrilled to say, the teens had a great adventure.
