“Basic and Clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

I recently stayed at this property and it was exactly what many of the previous reviewers had described. It's clean and has very basic amenities. The wifi is accessible from outside the room only and you must position yourself within close proximity to the check-in office. David, the manager of the property, was personable and attentive. He provided us with coffee each morning (espresso too!) which was a huge plus.
The room was a ground level family suite consisting of 2 rooms connected via a shared bathroom. It did not have air conditioning, but we had the ocean breeze and the motel also provides window fans --which was sufficient. The only negative about keeping the windows open is that you can hear everything that is going on outside your room and also people can see into your room. The room also had a small refrigerator (no freezer portion) and a small microwave. There was also a picnic table outside our room.
The location of this motel could not have been more perfect (right by Sea Street Beach). This was super convenient and allowed us to go back and forth between the motel and beach. I would definitely stay here again.
Suggestions for the hotel: adding light blocking curtains, expanding wifi so that one can access it from within their room, placing a gallon of water outside each room entrance for washing sand off feet.

Sometimes you luck upon those diamonds in the rough. David's motel on the beach is one of those places. Clean and affordable, what luck. Perfectly situated on the beach, clean and comfortable. We were greeted by the owner David with a warm welcome, who told us all about the area and great places to eat and recommend places to see. All of them perfect. This truly made for a great visit to Dennis Port. We hated to leave, but if this is typical of Cape Cod, we will return and look forward to doing so next year.

We came from St. Louis (where the owner had said he was from), and we couldn't have been more pleased. The owner was wonderful, the place was nice and clean, and the location was perfect! We have 3 children now, so we will have to plan a visit without them because I don't think there are rooms that would accommodate all of us for a week, but I would definitely stay again for a second honeymoon!!!

I felt at home away from home at this lovely motel close to the Sea St. Beach. My room was comfortable, very clean, quiet and with gentle ocean breezes throught the day and evening. Air conditioning was an option but definitely not needed. Best of all the warm hospitality of the owner, David Maslin and his competent staff, made my stay extra special. The delicious coffee offered each morning was an extra bonus and very much appreciated. I would highly recommend staying at the Old Landing Motel to all traverlers wishing to visit in the Dennisport area.

Room Tip: The six nights that I stayed at the Old Landing Motel were very quiet with all travelers respectful...

I booked this hotel because of all the great reviews and I love a small hotel. Plans changed and I called the Innkeeper and told him our tournament had been cancelled and I regretted that we could not come to the cape. I want everyone to know that my complete deposit was refunded in a timely manner and very professionally handled. I really appreciated the detailed information that the Innkeeper gave me about the area and how to get to the tournament venue etc. All the time he took to inform a guest. Dennis Port and Old Mill Landing we will see you next year!

We've gone to the Old Landing for many years and it was great, as always. The rooms were clean, the pool was nice, only a very short walk to the beach, and we love the owner, David. It's definitely attracts families and all the kids played together. The price was a bargain.

Simple, but perfect: The original flair of
Old Cape Cod has been marvelously preserved in this small hideaway

on a rather quiet stretch of the Dennisport coast. The motel-owner is a lovely man and had always a good bit of advice for sightseeing and restaurants in the area. The rooms were immaculately maintained, quite roomy and comfortable, air-conditioned with flat screen TV and exceptionally strong wi-fi signal which was my main concern. The building itself has been meticulously maintained and the lack of "modern" amenities such as coffeemaker, hairdryers or ironing stuff didn't bother us and was in accordance with the original flair of the motel. We couldn't imagine a more charming place for our stay, and furthermore it seemed to be the motel with the best price in town!
