We came upon Chapin's by accident while we were looking for a seafood restaurant during the busy dinner hour. Lots of people were waiting outside, so we thought the food must be pretty good. Instead of waiting the 30-45 minutes for a table in the crowded restaurant, my niece and I opted for take-out. The menu is the same as in the restaurant, and there is a bar to help ease the pain of having to wait. There is also an outdoor patio area in which we found a nice table to enjoy our beverages while waiting. Time seemed to move pretty quickly as our order was completed in about 20 minutes. We had ordered the clam chowder, which was the thickest I've ever had and delicious, the lobster roll, also very tasty, and the fried shrimp, crispy and very good. Chapin's has a nice variety of sandwiches and platters, all fairly reasonably priced for a restaurant on the Cape. We could not have been happier with our "accidental" find! When in the area, I would definitely go back and order take-out (by phone) to ease the wait time, head to a nice area on the beach, and enjoy a delicious meal on the beach.
