Our 2nd trip, mid February, we didn't have traffic to fight, lots of things to do on the Cape. Ann and Roy are great hosts, the breakfasts super (three mornings). Love the Captain's Room, and want to try the others too. What fun, next time we go farther out the Cape. Just like home!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are the best. Try to get one with a view out to Scargo Lake.

Visited Cape Cod for the weekend and stayed here for 1 night. The property was beautiful and the hosts were wonderful. Stayed in the Hydrangea room for the skylight, too bad there was a blizzard which covered the view with snow (which only means we'll have to come back when the weather is warmer). Had a wonderful view of the sunrise from the bed the next morning.

Visiting the Cape for a wedding, I chose to stay at this beautiful, historic Bed & Breakfast in Dennis. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Ann & Roy were warm and helpful hosts. Breakfast is served in an large, airy dining room and the food was delicious. A great central location for visiting Cape Cod. Compared to other inns and hotels in the area, Scargo Manor is very affordable.

Room Tip: All rooms are have historic charm. There are stairs to the second & third floor rooms.

My first visit to the Cape was fantastic partly due to this charming, well located B&B. I stayed in the Toile Room in the rear of the Manor which overlooked the lake and beautiful grounds. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Ann & Roy are gracious and helpful inn-keepers. I was even surprised by a fresh bouquet of flowers from them after having a minor plumbing problem in my bath which was resolved in short order. I found Dennis to be a beautiful town to stay in and it's great location makes it easy to travel to all parts of the Cape.
I truly wish that I could have stayed longer and hope that I will be able to return to complete all the things I did'nt have time to do. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose this B&B. It is a treasure.

Room Tip: The Toile Room is in the rear of the manor, ground floor, which provides a lot of privacy.

What a wonderful place to visit! Located on a small lake just a few miles from the beaches, the Scargo Manor offers canoes, kayaks, a beach, spacious grounds, and a beautiful historic captain's house. We stayed in the Captain's suite, so we each could work in the sitting room/second bedroom when needed.... In the master bedroom, the King size bed was sumptuous, the decor timely and pretty, the lace canopy lovely and fresh, not overly feminine.... It is just a few short blocks to walk into town for food and drink, and the breakfast the next morning was just fine. There was delicious coffee, and delectable homemade quiches....Our hosts had had a family emergency the day/night before, but our service was seamless, and we never knew a thing until the next day on the way out. I had spoken to Mary over the phone and was looking to chatting with her, when I found out the next morning about their emergency. I was really impressed that they had arranged for our service to be uninterrupted, and their substitute host was as welcoming and genial as we could want. My only complaint was the noise of the ubiquitous window air conditioners here in New England -- there are times I would just rather open the window.... But, it's not a black mark against the inn. I had one other suggestion, and that was to offer guests beach towels to take to the little private beach. Surely this could be done easily, with charges made to guests' accounts if the towels aren't returned or something? We stayed at a B&B on Nantucket where we were offered sumptuous fluffy beach towels without question. Loved it here at Scargo Manor, would DEF come back!

Room Tip: GO FOR the captain's suite! It's a delight, and worth every penny.... <3

Scargo Manor is a very lovely B&B. The old captain's home is amazing! Our room (Princess Suite) was perfect. You must get this room with the private patio! All of the rooms looked very nice. Everything was very nicely kept. The breakfast had everything we needed. The Inn Keepers were wonderful, and they told great stories! Meeting them made the trip very unique. They also went above and beyond and let me use their freezer. The location was very ideal. I would definitely stay there again / stay in Dennis again. The only drawback was our room wasn't cleaned (3 night stay), although I don't think it's a huge drawback because who cleans their house at home after 1, 2, or 3 nights? Overall we had a wonderful visit to Scargo!

We had a wonderful weekend here, other than the guests that showed up at 1:30 in the morning intoxicated. The breakfast was fabulous, the inn keepers are warm and friendly, and it's a beautiful place to stay.
