“Scargo Stoneware Pottery & Art Gallery”

Located off the beaten path (Route 6A) in a peaceful pine grove next to Scargo Lake. A hidden gem. Worth a visit. Pottery that is art.

“Fabulous pottery in an inviting, relaxing atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

Sometimes we forget to visit what is in our own back yard, which was the case until now for me with respect to Scargo Pottery. One late morning I drove up the small road next to Scargo Lake to find a rather large area devoted to the art of pottery.

There are many garden pieces (my favorite being the castles) surrounded by benches that just invites you to sit down and relax. The inside is also very inviting as there are chairs set up so you can sit down to watch one of the potters throw right in front of you. Everyone that comes in seems to be an old friend.

The pottery itself is a diverse collection including dinner sets, painted ceramic wall installations, vases, castles, and things I have never even thought of like berry bowls! The glazes they use are simply gorgeous so much so that I was trying to think of people to buy for.

Overall, if you are along 6A in Dennis and you want to see something a bit different or just need to relax from the summer traffic stop in and check out this place.
