“Super meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2011

Repeat visit to have their rack of lamb. Great big riblets cooked perfectly. Price had increased from two months earlier but still a great bargain.
All four enjoyed their meals, from seafood to beef and of course, that rack of lamb.

“Oldie but Goodie”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2011

Started going to Scargo Cafe frequently in 80's when renting in Dennis but move to Brewster dulled memory of good experiences. Luckily we went back on Thursday night as our neighbors' choice and rediscovered a Cape Cod mainstay. The parking lot was filled to capacity at 6:30pm but the comfortable bar area made the wait enjoyable. However be aware that the nearby Dennis Playhouse creates a logjam most nights in season before show time.
The meal started on a high note with 2 loaves of bread warm and delicious that overruled any dieting immediately. Our appetizers included a 10 shrimp cocktail, oysters Scargo that were too much for even "Big Mike" to eat and an arugula, pear, & cheese salad that we split. The entrees included perfectly cooked rack of lamb, a thick grilled swordfish, shrimp & turf, and an unusual teriyaki hangar steak. Not one entree could have been better. As an ending we had no more room to enjoy their world famous grapenut custard pudding that they willingly have shared with thousands of cooks over their many years of operation via their keepsake napkins (check it out on their website too).

Packs them in all yr. long. Lunch and dinner. Even bar area is a good spot to sit. Spaces between the tables. Consistantly good. Safe bet.

“Best Rack of Lamb on the Cape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

Scargo Cafe, across the street from the famous Dennis Playhouse, has a menu of mouth watering favorites, but the star attraction for this diner is its Rack of Lamb, cooked to order, tender and succulent. The salads at the Cafe are great too...the roasted beet salad, the pear with Italian cheese on arugula, and the spinach with chevre are a few of our favorites. We eat there a couple of times a month.

“Great food with a great New England atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

We eat at Scargo Cafe whenever we come to the Cape and it never disappoints. Great menu, great service. My only wish s that they would have Fried Clams on the menu.
