The staff at this place will do all they can to get you what you need. We had to have the refrigerator and garbage disposal replaced in our one bedroom, but it was done very quickly and efficiently and without any attempt to save money and not do it. One of those things they don't know about until they're told, right? Maintenance also helped us connect an adaptor we bought to connect a game console and dvd player to the TV.
They are GREAT with kids, at least if you let them be (some people are really standoffish when it comes to their kids, but I prefer letting my kids befriend people they interact with), and all seemed to adore my two boys. They have become a second family during our long stay.
The rooms are spacious enough. The beds are comfortable, the suite's kitchen area is ample for prepping all kinds of meals, and they'll do what they can to provide random needs not regularly supplied. They have a daily meeting with housekeeping staff and discuss comments they've received, along with steps to improve on any complaints. They are very good at working with guests and keeping them happy, though they are obviously limited, as any place is, by schedules and job requirements (i.e. leaving the desk for a long period, opening the pool despite safety issues and serving breakfast past serving time aren't reasonable expectations).
They also do a great job of keeping walks and lots plowed and cleared of snow in the winter and even the management gets involved in whatever they need to do, no "better-than-that" attitudes about manual labor from them.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone coming to the area. It's convenient to a LOT of sights in the area, and not much farther from Providence Airport than Logan, with no toll to get there!! ;-)
A great choice for a place to stay!

We stayed at the Residence Inn Dedham this month with our children. Other family members stayed next door at the Fairfield Inn. The Residence Inn was a great place for families and the business traveler alike. Our room a one bedroom, was comfortable and clean. It had a door that closed between the living area and bedroom which helped keep things quiet when some slept. The kitchenette in the room was great for reheating leftovers, making popcorn, putting together meals and for making coffee. Each morning breakfast was served downstairs and there were waffles, french toast, eggs, sausage patties, taco fixings, bagels, muffins, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, milk, yogurt etc etc. It was yummy and we saved a ton of money eating in rather than eating out. The hotel staff are great. They are friendly and helpful. I would often skip room cleaning and just get more towels, soap etc and they were super about getting you what you needed. The laundry facilities were super. Clean. 2 washers and dryers and you could buy soap etc there. There was a book for takeout menus for use in the lobby. Pets are allowed here so if you don't like them stay upstairs. The rooms have tvs but no vcr or dvd player. The weekday hospitality food was ok. Breakfast was better. The hotel was close to restaurants, the highway, and nearby stores. The staff couldn't supply us with a map at the front desk so make sure you have your agenda mapped out. All is all it is a great hotel. New, friendly, fun and close to Boston.

Just wanted to say we finally took our trip to the Boston area. Our choice of the Residence Inn in Dedham turned out to be perfect for our visits to Lexington, Boston, Plymouth, Cape Cod, Providence and Newport. We rented a car and drove to most areas. We did take the "T" into Boston and that worked out too. The drivers and interstates in MA took getting used to! Everyone at the Residence Inn was very helpful and made our stay a pleasant one.

Stayed at the Residence Inn for 3 nights in August. This seems to be a fairly new Residence Inn and we enjoyed our stay. It takes about a half hour to get to downtown Boston (assuming you avoid rush hour!). Also about 15 minutes or so from Gillette Stadium.

Room was very clean and well-furnished. Bed was comfortable.

The breakfast area was a little cramped and could have been a little better stocked, but they do offer lots of variety.

Indoor pool is not huge but it was fine. Staff was friendly. Would recommend this hotel.

Being away from home for extended periods of time is never easy, but this 'home away from home' is about as good as it gets. Breakfast everymorning, dinner in the evening, daily housekeeping and the onlt thing I had to do was enjoy my time in a strange town with the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. Thank you Residence Inn for making me feel so welcome and appreciated.
