“Warm & Welcoming B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

We had a relaxing and fun filled 3 days stay at Carriage House Inn with hosts Jim and Val. We were impressed with their gracious hospitality, and genuine interest in assuring that each guest was comfortable. Breakfast was a deliciously prepared hot meal prepared by Val and served by Jim in a cheerful dining room. Our room, located in the carriage house, was comfortably furnished with a queen bed, working fireplace, easy chairs, and sliding doors to the lawn. The Inn is perfectly located for a stroll to the shops in town or to view the scene at the Fish Pier.
Jim has a wealth of knowledge about local places to visit, scenic vistas, and terrific restaurants. Each day, he weaves a tale for his list of suggested adventures that includes directions, maps, and restaurants. We loved all his suggestions for restaurants, best locations for enjoying a sunset, or the perfect vantage point for viewing the seals. We plan on returning again…and again!

We really enjoyed your company and hope to see you again and again. Can't thank you enough for the beautiful Coffee Table photo book on the National Seashore. Our future guests will appreciate the beauty of this incredible National Park. The photos you posted were great. My favorite was sunset at Hardings Beach. Many many thanks for taking the time to write your lovely review. Hope to see you again.

Jim and Val made our weekend stay extra special. Each day started with a sensational home cooked breakfast. Then Jim would help us plan our day. Each bit of advice he gave was great, as were his fresh made chocolate chip cookies each afternoon.
The room was great - a very comfortable bed and a terrific fireplace too!
We can't wait to go back again and see our new friends!

Well, it was somewhat mutual. You made our weekend special too. It was great serving breakfast each day to see your smiles and hear your positive outlook. Now that the kids are grown, it's time to get out a bit more often! Val and I look forward to your next visit.

Val and Jim were wonderful hosts, not only did they provide a lovely room with fireplace and great location. We received a wonderful homecooked breakfast every morning and in the afternoon home baked cookies which were amazing. They made us feel so very welcome and provided a detailed suggested guided tour around the area which proved invaluable. Would recommend Carriage House Inn to all.

The choice to celebrate my birthday by spending a night at the delightful Carriage House Inn in Chatham could not have been a better one! What a way to relax and unwind!
I stayed in one of the private entrance rooms in the Carriage House, which is separate from the main house. My room boasted a sumptuous 4 poster bed, dreamy linens, a cozy gas fireplace, and all the amenities expected in any 5 star accomodation around the world. Perfection!
This is my third visit to the Inn, and it certainly will not be my last. With its peaceful surroundings, the gracious and warm welcome from hosts Jim and Val, and last but not least the unbeatable gourmet breakfast, I’m sure the Carriage House will continue to beckon me back again and again. Do pay them a visit, and ENJOY!

The Carriage House Inn exceeded all my expectations. Not only were the innkeepers warm and helpful, their attention to detail is superb. The B&B has old world charm, yet is immaculately maintained, with all the modern conveniences. I stayed in the carriage house room furthest from the main house and it felt completely private, with a wonderful view out the window. Everything about my stay was delightful, from the inviting, cozy room to the excellent cuisine. I look forward to staying here again the next time I am on the Cape.

We enjoyed meeting our new friend from the West Coast. One of the highlights of your visit was finding a gourmet gluten free pizza. You will alway have a warm welcome when you return.

If you have never been to Chatham, Massachusetts and stayed at the Carriage House, you ned to add it to your bucket list. Val and Jim are so welcoming, they will make you feel at home away from home. The breakfasts are just wicked awesome and the rooms are soooo clean and comfy. Jim is a wealth of information with local news and good places to dine. Try it.....you will love it.

What a great day for this Irishman to wake up on St. Patrick's Day and read your wonderful review. Hope your Valentine's Day was memorable! Many, many thanks. We were delighted to host you again, but saddened that you had to leave early on your last morning due to the impending storm. Hope to see you again soon.

Just spent an absolutely delightful week-end in Chatham at the Carriage House Inn. Picked it out of the blue and it could not have been better. Husband and wife hosts Jim and Val welcomed us into their Inn and made us immediately part of their family. Just the right balance of warm-hearted friendliness and respect for our privacy. Although Val's cooking is second to none, Jim's chocolate chip cookies are the second best chocolate chip cookies on the planet!
The Inn itself is immaculate and beautifully but comfortably appointed. We were looking for three days of quiet relaxation and found the perfect spot.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room Three, a spacious room with king sized bed, but the other rooms were good sized an...

We sure had a fun weekend with you. Many thanks for the kind words. As to my chocolate chip cookies, I take great pride in coming in second place to the world favorite Beachcomber Don's Specialty Chocolate Chip Cookies. I'm thinking of trying the coconut rum version. I'll keep my eye open for retail space. Looking forward to your next visit. And thanks for introducing us to the Wasabi Soy Almonds - Yum!
