We enjoyed a Saturday afternoon at their tavern side of the restaurant.
The wait staff were excellent and really enjoyed their jobs. Those folks and the bartenders established a fun and lively atmosphere to which the patrons enjoyed and contributed.
We had clam chowder. It is on our list as the 2nd best we've had. A nice blend of cream, flour and clam juice.
We also had a dozen oysters on the half shell. They were local, fresh, and very sweet. Their cocktail sauce seemed home made and tasted excellent. My wife remarked that it must have a little horse radish as it had a tiny kick to it. Definitely something to try!
My wife had a glass chardonay and the bartender noticed that she didn't like it. He came right over and when she said it wasn't her kind of taste, he removed it and gave her something else. Customer service was a premium.
The bar area is covered in unusual license plates and it was fun to read or decode many of them.
