“quiet, isolated beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

lots of waves and big winds while were there. Owl sightings are relatively common although we didn't get lucky.

“Great Beach for a Walk!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

This beach is great for kids. The water is warmer than some of the other Chatham beaches. There is lots of room to park and easy to get kids to and from the nearby parking lot. The beach goes on all the way so you can take long walks. The sand is perfect for building sand castles.

“Our favorite beach in Chatham”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

We are regulars at Hardings Beach, we spend a lot of time in Chatham and Hardings is our go to Beach! The beach is clean and they rake it so the seaweed is cleaned from the beach area. The waves are wonderful and the sand is nice, some rocks, I suggest wearing water shoes if you plan on going in the water. But great views of the light house, windsurfers, boats and kayaks, seals and even the occasional small sand shark. Life gaurds on duty are very attentive, and kids can bring in boogey boards if you go past the roped in area. Great fishing around the sand dunes and you can walk to the light house. Bathrooms are clean and there is an outdoor shower and changing area. The ice cream man comes in the afternoon. Great spot for families, safe for kids. Pack a lunch and get there early you will want to spend the whole day. Couples and older folks will enjoy the cocktail parties later in the afternoon and evening with beautiful sunsets. Fireworks can be seen from the beach most nights in July. There is a charge to get in , but well worth it! We always get the weekly pass, if your spending time in Chatham make this a number one stop! Beach is wonderful anytime of the year, not just the summer!
Beach is handicap accessible and the lifegaurds are great, they even have a large wheeled sand wheel~ chair to help you onto the beach and into the water! No dogs allowed on beach area during the summer season, but off season you can walk thru the dunes to the lighthouse.

“Perfect town beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

Waves, not too crowded on a hot August midweek day......food truck, great parking.....clean bathroom facilities and great walking to Stage Harbor Light. Seaweed galore the day I was there, just a New England nuisance . This is not Lighthouse Beach by any means but a good pick for families.

“Nice beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Great for fall photos. Go when the tide is out for the best shots. Take sandals or barefoot at the sand is very fine.
