“Beautiful.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

A great place to watch the sunset. Clean beach with dunes to walk and long stretches of sand. Plenty of wind: it's fun to watch people sailboard--fast!

“It's not just a bathing beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

Most people come to Hardings Beach to swim in the relatively warm water protected waters of Nantucket Sound. But if you park in the second lot and look at the far end you will find a sand road that will lead you on a one mile walk to the lighthouse that used to protect the entrance to Stage Harbor. It's a beautiful walk anytime of the year with an incredible variety of birds along the walk. I've been walking it for 50 years and it never disappoints.

“Favorite beach on the Cape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

The beach is about 2km long, and a wonderful walk on a beautiful day. There is lots of parking available (yes, it costs during the summer, but it's worth it) and I'd recommend going to the 2nd parking lot and then walking up the beach a bit to get to where you can have room around you rather than being right next to someone else. You can be either out on the beach or up in the dunes for some protection from the wind. Take both sunscreen and bug repellant during the summer as the sandflies can be biting at times (and they BITE!). A walk up to the end of the beach takes you to the entrance to Stage Harbour, you can see the now-disused Stage Harbour Lighthouse and the top of Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge.
