Set in the trees in a lovely area this hotel is quite difficult to find and easy to pass unless you drive slowly. Well worth the trouble once you arrive, the hotel is a treasure. Beautiful trees and shrubs fill the delightful gardens and surround the excellent pool and hot tub. Our room was large and very comfortable with a huge king bed and all amenities. No restaurant here, but breakfast served in the cosy reception area was very good. The family owners are helpful and very pleasant. The only disadvantage was the drive to Chatham to restaurants (about 2 miles )but an easy trip after the first attempt! Would love to return here.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be in an attractive setting but those with decking leading to the pool area are ve...

We recently stayed at Pleasant Bay with another couple. We were very pleased with the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, bathroom was nice. Would agree that it could use a bit of an update in the rooms but both of our rooms were very clean which is more important in our opinion. The breakfast was very good and the decor in the dining room was very cute. The pool and hot tub were great and very quiet while we stayed. We loved all the quirky fun statues hiding throughout the property. We loved how convienent Chathum was to other towns on the Cape - for our first visit we felt we hit the jack pot!

This is such a quaint yet "artsy" property! We walked into the very cozy, tastefully decorated lobby to find a huge, sleeping dog, and a welcoming staff behind the desk. We knew right away we'd be happy with the place! We loved the grounds, the office staff, and our room with its own deck, Though it is not within walking distance to the beach or town, it is a beautiful area. The room was clean, bright and included all the necessities.

Room Tip: It seems they seperate families from couples, which is great if you don't want to hear little on...

Rare motel with lavish attention to detail. Unique decor inside and out. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was special. Bathroom was small although the separate sink is useful. The carpet is utilitarian for a reason. Overall, real find for the price.

Beautiful surrounding - the gardens and pond are absolutely splendid. Gorgeous heated pool with a waterfall. Very pleasant.
However, the complex is not located at a walkable distance from Chatham and - as the regulars know - there are no sidewalks. So if you thought about taking a stroll to the nearest beach (Pleasant Bay), think again!
As for the rooms (we had deluxe king), they would need a little upgrade as far as decoration is concerned. Also, it lacks a coffee machine and kettle for the early birds (the reception opens only at 8 AM.) So if you wish to take your coffee on the nice patio while watching the sunrise, it is not possible. Again, you need to take your car and find a coffee shop in the vicinities. Most open at 7. All in all, a very nice place, but a little expensive - despite high season - compared to other hotels/motels of the area with full services. And breakfast is not included.

We have traveled the world & the entire staff are the most gracious & caring of all the Inn's we have been to. The grounds are extraodinary and look like the Hotel has been set in the middle of a landscapers dream. The suite my wife I had wwas wonderful including the deck. Enough space to celebrate my 85th birthday, where my wife, daughters and their husbands joined us for many cocktail parties, of which management joined by sending a wonderful bottle of excellent champagne. CANNOT GIVE ENOUGH RAVES

Room Tip: ask for a deck and jacussi

This is a real find. A little bit outside of the town so you're not in the hub-bub but with restaurants and a coffee shop nearby. Rooms are large and nicely furnished. Bathrooms are a bit small but manageable with the sink outside of the tub area. The best part though is the staff. They went out of their way to be helpful, pleasant and accomodating. Truly one of the best staffs I have ever seen. Breakfast is good with nice choices and convenient off of the lobby.
