“Exactly what we needed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

We needed comfortable, quiet and conveniently located accommodation that we could use as a base to explore the Cape - the Chatham Motel did the job perfectly. The room we stayed in was in the newer part of the complex and we were very impressed - it was spacious, well equipped, comfortable and very clean. The bed was big and comfy, the bathroom was spacious and the shower was hot and powerful - what more do you need? The room also came equipped with a modern capsule coffee machine, which was a nice touch.

In terms of location, the motel is a 5 minute drive to the charming shops and restaurants of Main St, and we never had a problem finding somewhere to park once we got there. There are also a number of restaurants that are within walking distance of the motel. It was also quick and easy enough to find our way to the main roads that led to the other parts of the Cape.

The management were welcoming and friendly and you can tell that they care about the accommodation and their guests. The welcome pack provided in the room was a goldmine of useful information. All in all, we would highly recommend the Chatham Motel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on a return visit to this gorgeous and fascinating area of the United States.

Room Tip: We stayed in the newer part of the complex and the room was fresh and modern - although the rooms in...

I've stayed here numerous times - once a year for about 13 years.
It's my home away from home. This motel is charming "old" Cape Cod - most all the rooms have been recently remodeled - they're beautifully done. This is a family owned and operated motel and they really care about their property and their service. It's a great location - close to 2 public beaches and to downtown Chatham. The rooms are extremely clean, and the staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. They have one efficiency unit which is what I choose. If you are going to Chatham or environs this is a great place for a reasonable price. Don't miss it! For kids they have a pool in season, and a swing set. Also includes A/C and heat.

This is a typical drive-in motel with terraced rooms in a quiet location with well tended gardens. We had the deluxe king bed unit, which was small but well equiped with fridge and microwave, two easy chairs and a small table. About a mile away from the nearest beach and about two miles from the main shopping area of Chatham. A nice spot for a quiet couple of days. The only problem was the lack of sound insulation between units so we could hear water running, toilet flushing etc.

I spent only one night, but the location is great and surronded by woods. Not near the beach but that is not very far! This is like the motels of yesterday, neat, clean, older but in nice condition. Very nice staff. Not a palace a convenient, clean reasonably priced motel.

Room Tip: They all back up to the quiet woods !

In Chatham for a wedding during peak season and had a hard time finding an affordable place. Chatham Motel was ideal ... Very clean rooms, decent size, convenient location, and the front desk staff is super helpful.

We have stayed in the Chatham Motel many times and found it a great bargain. This year we were delighted to find the rooms had been refurbished in 2013 and were in virtually new condition. Nothing like fresh paint, new bed and clean, clean bathroom to make the stay more enjoyable than ever. Recommend the Chatham Motel highly!

Room Tip: About half the rooms were refurbished in 2013 - ask for one of those.

We spent two nights here and had a great time. Lodging was super expensive in the area, and the Chatham Motel was very reasonably priced compared to most others in the area. It was a very quick drive into town, clean, and staff were very friendly. We had one of the newly renovated "school house" rooms which had a separate sitting area perfect for out toddler's crib. The grounds were large which was nice for our son to run around on. The pool looked nice though we didn't try it out. Great stay - we would definitely stay here again if we return to the Cape!

Room Tip: If you are traveling with a child who is still in a crib, make sure you ask for one of the rooms in...
