“Charming Inn, Convenient Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2005

My husband and I stayed at the Queen Anne Inn for three days last week to celebrate our anniversary. We are very familiar with Chatham having spent many summer vacations there when our children were young, but this was our first stay at the Queen Anne.

It was a lovely place, located on a fairly quiet street but within easy walking distance of town and a small beach. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a Carriage House Studio. It was a very large room, nicely decorated with a fireplace and hot tub on the patio. The patio was actually fairly small and crowded given the size of the room. The receptionist promptly brought us a log for the fireplace when we requested one (it was really chilly for mid-June). The full American breakfasts that were included were delicious. My only suggestion would be that they offer Egg Beaters as an option. The pool area is attractive, but there were enough children using the pool for me to opt for to sit on my own patio instead.

The evening we checked into the inn, the patio area was fragrant with the smell of roses. Unfortunately, the next day there was some painting being done and the paint smell overtook the rose smell (and even permeated the room). But we were able to air out the room fairly quickly and it was not a big problem for us.

Overall, we had a wonderfull stay and would highly recommend it.

Spending New Year's on Cape Cod is not the usual way for southern Californians like us to celebrate the New Year. More by coincidence than design we spent the holiday at the Queen Anne Inn in Chatham, and what a surprise it was! We bought their New Year's package online, which soundedl like a lot of fun. After arriving at the Inn during a howling snow storm, we stepped into a warm glowing place, beautifully decorated with a roaring fire going. In no time, we were part of a relaxed cocktail party around the fireplace. Before coming down to dinner we had a chance to enjoy our hottub out on the balcony with a million stars over us.
Now, we could write about the food at the Queen Anne forever, let's just say it was unexpectedly fantastic!!

We were not surprised to find out that many of the other couples we talked to had stayed there several times before. Since, we don't know when we'll return to the East coast again, we wanted to share our wonderful experiences.

Sincerely, Darren & Lynn Palmer

Where to start?? We had never visited Cape Cod before and left it late in booking. All the big resort hotels on Expedia were booked up, so we went searching on the web. The Queen Anne came up, and with some trepidation, we booked.

There was nothing to worry about. The 19th Century inn is personable, without being suffocating or intrusive. The hosts, Guenther and Dana are wonderfully friendly, helpful and full of suggestions as to what to see and do. The other staff were, without exception, brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble.

The rooms are quaint and the balcony overlooking the plush green gardens, stunning. We had a hot tub on the balcony which was perfect for a glass of wine as you watched the sun go down. Meanwhile a member of staff will light a fire in your room for you to have another glass of wine infront of when you get in! In the daytime the wicker sunloungers are perfect for getting through your latest thriller whilst baking slowly in the Cape Cod sun.

The food in the Pearl Restaurant is stunning. The main courses involve freshly caught seafood cooked to perfection and I especially recommend the Creme Brulee. The breakfasts are superb and presented immacultely.

If you want a romantic break away in a quiet, sleepy place, where all you have to worry about is which direction the sun is coming from so you can turn your sunlounger to meet it, I can't reccommend this place highly enough. We went to see a couple of other resort hotels where we could have stayed and they were beautiful, but rather sterile. The Queen Anne prides itself on being old-fashioned and charming and it does it perfectly.

Our family booked several rooms for a small reunion over the fourth on the Cape. We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay at the Queen Anne Inn! The accomodations were wonderful, each room was unique, always very clean and beautifully decorated. The serice was terrific, the staff was friendly and they didn't miss a detail. We will definately stay there again!

We loved the Queen Ann Inn. We stayed in a Garden Cottage Studio complete with private patio and hot tub. The room was beautifully decorated and much attention was given to cleanliness and comfort. We found the staff to be pleasant and professional. This Inn has a relaxed casual atmosphere and is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a family retreat. I look forward to returning.
