“over cooked food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

I have gone to The Halfway Cafe a few times and each time my food has been over cooked. The turkey burger was just dry and charred. The cheese on the nachos is dried and blackened on areas. I have ordered the nachos on four different occasions and each time they came out looking like that, not appetizing. My son has ordered the foot-long hot dog and he likes that. The chicken is also over- cooked. I give up on this place.

“Basically a little dive that happens to be a chain...good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

A great place. Came here recently and the food is very good for pub-style. They offer lots of specials for the season and the prices are great. The buffalo wings, their house specialty, were some of the best I've ever had. Also, the service was wonderful. The waiter kept coming to check back and even recommended some of his favorite dishes to us. He was such a help. The only complaint I have is that inside is small and cramped. If it's during the weekend or on a Friday expect a wait of at least 15 minutes. Great location amongst a bunch of shops. I'm sure its a great place to stop for lunch as well.

“Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

The Halfway Cafe is a great restaurant, it is a cross between a small chain and a local joint were everybody knows your name. The taste great, the prices are very reasonable and they give back to the community they serve.

“Pub-like atmosphere and food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

If you're in the mood for a light meal, try Halfway Cafe. Not big portions, but great food for the money. I'd recommend their amazing French or sweet potato fries, chicken wings or steak tips.

I also notice that a lot of people order their steamed clams, when available.

Very nice wait and bar staff.

“OH WELL”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Mediocre...used to be really good quality. Takes forever to get your meal and the food has no flavor to speak of like it used to. The help is friendly and the atmosphere is good but...hmmm maybe just drink there?
