So, the restaurant name has the word, "Texas". Right there, is a sign you should bring your appetite because the portions are big. I also like how they display the raw steak cuts at the door which gives the impression of freshness.
From the moment you walk in, it was as you just crossed the border to Texas. Country songs play all night. The staff will burst out in a line dance now and then. There will be occasional birthday shout outs for the birthday people in the house. Make no mistake, it is really loud, noisy, and rowdy in here. If that's not your thing, time to go elsewhere.
The bar area is nice and big with TV sets. It is only 5:30pm and the place is pretty packed. The seating is mostly booths but the walls are tall enough for privacy and low enough to see the entire restaurant and line dancing area. The ambiance is really lively and comfortable.
Service is terrific. The rolls are amazing. The manager even went around to make sure everyone is happy. Very impressive not just for a restaurant but for a chain and shows they are making a serious effort on quality control.
I really recommend the wings as they are quite tasty. The steaks are not bad. I was somewhat disappointed because seeing the raw cuts at the door lifted my expectations but keep in mine the bill for a dinner here is half of that of a fine steakhouse.
Overall, a great choice for casual dining.
