We went for a three day weekend and stayed in the room with the 2-person Jacuzzi. I am NOT a B&B person usually, as I've had some poor experiences, but I went on the advice of family, and it was lovely. It really is an old-fashioned Inn that happens to include breakfast and a family on the premises, as opposed to a room in someone's home. The bed was fantastic and the little extras like bath salts for the Jacuzzi, pristine robes and make-up remover pads all added to the pampered environment. The seperate guest dining room, parlor, etc added to the peacefulness of our weekend. My only discomfort came from a musty odor that my husband couldn't smell, but I noticed every time I entered the room. It should be noted that it was raining out, which may have affected the smell. The immaculate room included a flat screen tv, fridge, microwave, blow-dryer and an alarm clock. There was great chowder at the Brew House, in walking distance, as was an olde-fashioned general store. Also, great, inexpensive boutique shopping in Chatham, fifteen minutes away. There were many interesting natural sites as well, such as beaches, herring swimming upstream and cranberry bogs. It's definitely not a place for kids, though. Lots of antiques and not at all childproof. We could have stayed a few more days and enjoyed them all.
