“Great Hotel for Style and Class.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel July 15-17 and enjoyed it very much. We were visiting the area as tourist and located this newly built Hyatt Place through Priceline. It was easy to locate, plenty of free parking and there is an indoor shopping mall across the street! The hotel is stylish and very comfortable. Breakfast was included and hot and ready each morning. They have a nice spa available for a small daily charge of $7 if you like. It included an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, nice weight and exercise room plus more from what I observed. Of course the pool is free if you want to just take a swim. The outdoor pool was closed due to some new construction going on nearby. There is a small counter cafe' where you can order snacks or some basic wine or beer. I did not see a full bar or restaurant. However, there is a TGIF next door and food court in the mall. I was told that some of the new construction going on adjacent to the hotel will include both a restaurant & bar area.

The room was nice but without a tub. The shower is closed glass and roomy with a wonderful shower head. They have granite countertops in the bathroom and there is a separate makeup area outside the small bathroom (with it's own large mirror). We had about a 25” flat screen TV and all the plug ins for accessories. I had no problems with their free Wi-Fi. The king bed was comfortable and the AC unit has easy temperature controls with a digital readout. You can set the room temp as you like. It can be a bit noisy but not a deal breaker.

This is a smoke free, allergenic free and pet free green hotel. Try it, you will like it.

Very minimalist decor at this hotel, but it is a style I like the most. There were some issues with the room though. The bathroom lights were broken out like someone had renovated and stopped short. The lighting in the rooms was very dim too. Also the reception people were positively frosty. Of course, you are in New England. I got the dagger eyes from a worker who was mopping a floor I had to walk across to get to where I needed to be. Sorry, but I can't jump 20 feet! The morning reception and breakfast ladies were very nice though.

This Hyatt Place is better than the average Hyatt Place since is was not originally built as one, thus the rooms, common areas and hallways are quite spacious.

It has been completely remodeled, is very clean, quiet and good location if you have business or are visiting along the South shore suburbs of Boston.

Free parking, internet and breakfast. Close to many restaurant choices and freeways.

It was our first trip to Boston, and we were really shocked at the prices of the hotels in the city. I was lucky to find this place. We got our room for 4 nights at 120.00 a night. It was a grand opening special rate. Parking for our car was free, not something we would have gotten had we stayed in the city.

We travel a lot for business, and have stayed in a lot of different hotels (3 and 4 star), but had never been to a Hyatt Place before. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room, the free breakfast every morning, as well as the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel shuttle will take you for free to a nearby T station, and from there it is a short ride into downtown Boston.

The location was good, too, having a big mall across the street, and a TGI Fridays right next door. It was easy to have dinner, and then go back to the hotel to get work done at night. The room was nicely set up for work, with plenty of places to plug in our laptops and phones. There was also a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks and food cold. We did get food from the restaurant downstairs one night. It was okay, not awesome, but good enough for one night. The bed was comfortable which is also very important! If we ever have another conference to go to in Boston, I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Brand new hotel across from the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA. Contemporary decor throughout. Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had a King room that was quite spacious and included a sectional with a pull out sofa. Bathroom was adequate, no tub, but large shower area, commode is child size which seems to be the norm in these newer hotels. There is construction around the hotel but the only noise we heard was when the vans or trucks were backing up. Look forward to staying here again.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on the weekend of June 6 2012 with another couple, we wanted to visit the city of Boston. First this hotel had a bit of construction in front of it but it did not cause any problem with our stay. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and bid with the sitting area. The room are very clean and the rest of the hotel also.

The breakfast was also included and was also very good. The staff was there to help us and very friendly.

This hotel is past downtown Boston but they have a shuttle that takes you to the train station Quincy Adams that only about 4 minutes by car from the hotel and they also come and pick you up, so you don<t have to drive to Boston. Once you are in the subway system you can go anywhere in Boston, and I can tell you that I felt safe all the time oi the subway.....

There is a big shopping center in front of the hotel with most of the big stores you want for easy shopping.

For sure you could get a hotel downtown but I guess the price would be a bit more also.

I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation what so ever.

We stayed here for a week in June'12 for a conference and leisure. Hyatt brand is synonym with quality which was very average here.
Pluses: We must say that the hotel staff were good when ever we interacted with them especially the Front office staff and the pick up and drop drivers. The hotel breakfast was quite amazing
Negatives: The Window drape was falling in room-was of cheap quality made and it took two different time fixation by the hotel staff to put in place-temporarily. We had a shocking experience of misplacing our souvenior there. They definitely need to improve on the rooms more further even though they are quite specious.
