Owner description: Tower Hill Botanic Garden is New England's year-round botanic garden, a living museum of plants exquisite in every season. Several distinctive gardens arrange plants according to an overall Master Plan, that includes a Lawn Garden, Secret Garden, Systematic Garden, Cottage & Vegetable Garden, Wildlife Refuge Pond, Winter Garden, and more. Two conservatories--the Orangerie and the Limonaia--display non-hardy plants in winter, with blooming flowers in every season. Springtime brings more than a quarter million flowering bulbs, including a signature field of more than 25,000 daffodils.

“Something new each time you visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2006

I visited the Tower Hill Botanic Garden in November 2006. What a treat! Located on 132 acres, the outside grounds contain over 350 labeled shrubs and trees. From the grounds located up on a hill, there are lovely views of the Worcester hills which still showed the fall foliage colors on the day of my visit. There are many gardens and trails to explore through woodlands and varied garden landscapes including plantings of annuals, perennials, bulbs, etc. In addition to the outside gardens, the Orangerie (glass house) contains lush tropical plants to view year round and was quite interesting!

Tower Hill is always sponsoring different events such as the Worcester Fall Flower show which I attended in November. Several garden related sales are held through out the year where you can buy specialized plants and gardening goods. The gift shop is stocked with many unusual garden related products and gifts for the gardener. In addition courses, workshops and lectures are held throughout the year so it is worth repeating your visit.

If you belong to another botanical garden or AAA there is may be discounted admission.
