“Great dive food. Excellent cheap breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

This place looks like a house from the outside but inside is your typical dive bar. The food is cheap and good. Breakfast omlettes are huge and good. If you are looking for a cheap good meal this is the place.

There are 2 small pool tables as well. Drinks are cheap and there is a big horse shoe bar.

“Just your average everyday joe place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

Good ol dive that has cheap yummy food. Where else can you get a twin lobster dinner for under 15 bucks? Even the Rib Eye steak dinner was 15 bucks with 2 sides. Besides the food the service is good and pretty good selection of beer

“Great local joint for seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Friendly local place for a good beer (Harpoon IPA) and some lobster rolls. They have a nice little dining room off the bar, but we decided to join the crowd at the bar. Folks were friendly, service was good and the food was great for the price. Saw some decent-looking lobster dinners come up too. Left with homemade soup to go for a sick friend and she said it was great!

“Blue collar dive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

The Anchor is the kind of place you will find packed with locals any night of the week. Especially on thirsty Thursday! They have cheap drinks and pub food. The service can be kind of slow but that because they don't have a lot of wait staff and you never know who's in the kitchen. That being said they have the best $6.00 burgers in town ! There best kept secret is there breakfast. You can get eggs Benedict for $6.00 and it's good !
The last time we ate there I got the fish and chips for $8.00. Sad to say the fish was way over cooked. My husband got the baked bay scallops and shrimp again totally over cooked and just packed with ritz crackers and butter and flavorless ! Shame on you for having bad seafood and
being right next to the ocean!

“A great place for those who love Haddock”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

I visited this restaurant upon the advice of a friend for 2 meals Dinner and Breakfast. The broiled Haddock was excellent and very fresh. It takes time in this place to receive you meal but I feel it is worth the wait. The restaurant is very crowded on Friday nights and many sit a the spacious Bar. Locals love this spot and it is near the Marina in Beverly, Mass. Breakfast is the same experience, great food and good Value and only cash payment is accepted. Be prepared to wait for any meal you order however when their is a large crowd.
