Nobody was dancing when i visited the the grounds of Jacob's Pillow one afternoon in high summer. It's in a forest clearing fairly far from town. Some tourists wandered quietly among the trees and quaint wooden buildings. There was a historical exhibit. In its first years Jacob's Pillow seems to have been a kind of summer camp for men who danced and favored whole-body tans. Maybe the connotations of the place's name are not wholly geological and Scriptural. If I return I will make sure somebody is dancing and there is a datable woman on my hairy arm.
