If you want a perfectly delightful meal to accompany your visit to the bucolic Jacobs
Pillow, walk no farther than the Pillow Cafe. You will find an array of well appointed
tables under a milky white tent with the sides open to the passing scene. Each table
has a small bouquet of wild flowers to echo the surrounding flora. The well trained
waitstaff offers a good but small selection of well chosen wines at fair prices. The menu
is simple but adequate and the food was better than expected. We had a fresh salad
with fruits and pistachios preceding a nice rare breast of duck with cherries and a
vegetarian risotto entree followed by gelato parfaits adorned with fresh berries and
whipped cream. Although the pub fare nearby also is enticing, the festive atmosphere
of the cafe is worth the extra expense.
