The grounds are nice, but the rooms need attention. In our room, no lamp worked within 12 feet of the bed, and the ancient air conditioner had broken nobs. The sheets and pillows dated seemed like originals from when it was a real tavern in 1776. The tiny bathroom reeked of urine -- we had to throw the rug and mat straight in the dumpster.
The kitchen had been updated and was nice, though none of the frying pans spoke the language of no stick anymore.
We paid $7000 for a week for the 14 of us...seems like more of that needs to be plowed into upkeep.
