“Superb Inn - Great Fun Murder Mystery Weekend - Couldn't Ask For More”

We just returned from a fabulous Murder Mystery Weekend which involved 15 Inns on Rte 6A in Cape Cod. We we so very lucky to select Lamb and Lion Inn as our Inn destination for this fun filled weekend.
The Lamb and Lion Inn is superb! All the comforts of a luxury resort with the personalization of a cozy bed and breakfast. Tom and Alice who run the Inn have years in the business and it shows-they are pros! There is no comfort or need that goes unattended - and they are personable, warm and lots of fun!
Our "Sweet" (as they like to call the room) was truly that - a SWEET gem! The bed was the most comfortable we have enjoyed at any 5Star resort...the linens were luxurious and the soaps and lotions pampering! The hot tub soothed our weary muscles after a fun day of scavenger hunting for clues at the 15 Inns involved in the Murder Mystery Weekend.
If you can pick anywhere on 6A to stay - be sure to stay at the Lamb and Lion - you will NOT be disappointed...They have thought of every detail to make your stay warm, welcome and inviting.
And if you love dogs, you will LOVE G. Willi - he dropped by to visit our Sweet often and made our stay so much fun!
Before I go, wanted to mention the wonderful baked goods and fresh cut fruit each morning - a wonderful treat! and the coffee is top rate too!
You will love Lamb and Lion!

(If these Inns run another Murder Mystery weekend please consider it! ---you will have the time of your life!-from the murder, to the scavenger hunt that followed, to solving the crime - we laughed from start to finish...great job to all involved!)

“A Jewel on Cape Cod”

Lamb And Lion Inn

Just back from a FANTASTIC stay at the Lamb and Lion. We had the "Innkeeper's Pride" suite for the weekend and it lived up to every one of our expectations. The inn overall was great: everything from the fresh baked goods at breakfast to the spacious room with a woodburning fireplace to the very comfortable bed. All the comforts of a luxury resort with all the attention of a very small B&B.

Tom and Alice were great hosts and afforded us all the privacy we wanted but still managed to make sure everything we needed was taken care of immediately.

Recommendations for restaurants and things to do were perfect.

All in all, could not have been a better stay or a more delightful inn.

it's everything it says it is ...and more. Tom and Alice have created a unique and special getaway. The personal touches, as well as the excellent local advice were unexpected and made our stay both fun and relaxing. I think everytime we go back now we are going to try each of the rooms one by one...because, although our room was excellent, I peeked in the other rooms and they each had their own character. Highly recommended for a weekend or a week.

After the tourist information advised us to take route 6A and NOT route 6 the fun begun. When we stopped for a drink and sat down on the terras at the Taverne in Barnstable we asked for a good Bed and Breakfast. The waiter immediately recommended the Lamb and the Lion to us and was so kind to give us the telephone number. We called and booked for one night.
We really loved what we saw when we arrived at the place. Very friendly reception, fantastic room and lovely situated swimming pool. We changed our travel plans and stayed for another night. The book in the room with the history off the Inn, its owners and the funny dogs, also gave excellent recommendations for dining and many other things. At breakfast there is always a surprise home made baking dish. Eating and sipping your coffee on the deck with garden view with only the sound of birds around you is a wonderful relaxing experience.
Tom and Alice made us feel very welcome, we will surely see them again!

we just spent a wonderful weekend at the lamb and the lion. located in midcape, it was a very convenient base of operation from which to visit all part of the cape. tom and alice are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and provides you with a book with a ton of recommendations. not only did they give us pointers in where to do the best antique hunting and the-can't-miss local instutions, they even helped us book reservations at restaurants. the best part was when they connected us with John the Oysterman [--] and we had the most amazing experience working on the beach, seeing how oysters are grown, and of course, eating fresh oysters.... and at the end of the day, we always looked forward to a soak in the hottub, and slept knowing that alice's home baked muffins waited for us in the morning...
