We stayed for one night to break up our trip from NY to Virginia, because it was convenient (20 min drive) to downtown Baltimore, but without the big ticket price of a downtown hotel. Convenient to I95, and plenty of food options nearby. Also, near a huge shopping area, which I didn't know when booking.
We arrived somewhat late (9:45pm) and were quickly checked in. The desk attendant gave us cookies for our two children, which made them very happy. The room was very clean, and trust me I am picky! I always check for "unwanted guests". We were directly across from elevator, but heard nothing in the room. In the morning, a hot breakfast is offered, which was quite welcome - lots of choices for my picky children! There were also breakfasts in bags ready to go, for those up and out. The seating area offers a great variety of options, small tables and big tables as well as a "bar" with stools. I also saw a lovely outdoor seating area available during warmer weather. The attendant for breakfast was fantastic! She greeted us warmly and the breakfast area was very neat and well maintained. I saw her buzzing around refilling and cleaning the entire time we were there - impressive!
Overall, a great find for a one night stop. The only downside is that the pool is outdoors, but this didn't affect us because we were only here one night. Thank you Hamton Inn!
