It's crazy that this isn't highly rated, and it's a weakness of the way TripAdvisor is organized that Paul Kee's didn't turn up high on the list when we were looking for restaurants in Silver Spring. (It's right on the Silver Spring/Wheaton border, near the "Wheaton" Metro stop.) It's a plain enough looking place, but the food is as good as it was in the famous Chang's restaurant in Charlottesville when he was still there. And the service is wonderful: the wait staff talked one person in our party out of a "brisket" dish by pointing out that it would have a lot of "tendon" in it. (She got a more ordinary meat dish and loved it.) My dad's honey duck was great, very unusual in the way it was done but first rate. I had a chef's special, conch with chives, and was amazed by it. For my 8-year-old son and my wheat-allergic wife the staff custom-made a couple of dishes that they loved--no complaint, no fuss, just great food. As in many restaurants of this type, there are two menus in effect: one with the standard Chinese-American dishes, another with more unusual "specials." I'd stick with the latter. The restaurant is, by the way, in a very interesting neighborhood, with a small Mexican bakery a couple of doors down and a Jewish bookstore across the street.
