“In all respects an excellent place to stay for a relaxing few days.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2011

From far away (South Africa), after a Clivia conference at Longwood Gardens, and, is our habit when in new regions, we took a rental and "followed our noses" south into the Maryland/Delaware peninsula. One afternoon we ran out of land, and road, at Black Walnut Point on Chesapeake Bay. However, it was our good fortune that the point consists of a 58 acre gated bird sancyuary, and at its end is Bob and Tracy's B&B Inn, and we spent a magnificent night enjoying their hospitality, Inn and breakfast. We strongly recommend that others visit them for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We were warmly greeted by Bob and Tracy, the innkeepers, and they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful throughout our stay. If you are looking for somewhere spectacularly beautiful away from crowds and the fast pace of life, this is it. With the Chesapeake on one side and the Choptank River on the other, you feel like you are on the water. One of our favorite pastimes was watching the osprey and eagles, as well as just soaking up the scenery. Breakfasts are very good (blueberry pancakes one day, waffles the next) and there are some really good restaurants close by- the Tilghman Island Inn is particularly good.
We will definitely be going back to Black Walnut Point Inn.

Room Tip: The Tilghman room is beautiful and private.

Had the best time. Bob and Tracy treat you like you are guests in their home. Peaceful, romantic, beautiful and serene. Its like being at the end of the world completely undisturbed. The cabin was clean with all the convenience of home. The bed was comfy. Sunset and sunrise was spectacular. I will be back there very soon.

As a devotee of the Eastern Shore - its wildness and its wildlife - it doesn't get much better than the Tilghman Island location of the Black Walnut Point Inn. Remote and quiet, with water surrounding you on three sides - you get to watch both the sunrise and the sunset over the water (very rare for us East Coasters!) If you're a birder, the bird watching is great, even for us in chilly March - we saw the season's first osprey!

Our cabin was cozy and lovely - wood-paneled, with a sun deck, living room, kitchen where we made a great steak dinner, and bedoom - all with stunning views of the water less than 10 feet away.

Bob and Tracy were consummate hosts, extremely warm and welcoming - and they have big plans for their recent acquisition. We booked our room through Bloomspot and are always a little unsure about how welcoming B&Bs will be to GLBT couples - my partner and I felt comfortable immediately.

If you're looking for a way to reconnect - with yourself, your loved ones, or nature, don't pass this up.

We stumbled upon the Black Walnut Point Inn when were driving around the Eastern Shore checking out the anchorages we only see by water when we pulled up to the most beautiful spot. The inn is surrounded by water and wildlife and takes your breathe away.

The hosts are amazing.-- they just took the place over from the previous owners. They are welcoming and warm and the breakfasts and happy hour are terrific. The cabins include a kitchen, gas stove, large bedroom and views of water that is steps from your door.

Just a few miles from St. Micheals and close to other restaurants, it's the perfect spot to either hibernate and cook yourself or wonder around.
It is not plush, nor luxurious but you wouldn't want it to be; it would interfere with the sheer enjoyment of the inn itself.

There are few places in this world that will stir the soul the way the Black Walnut Point Inn can. In addition to the breathtaking scenery, the secluded location and the amazing rooms are just the absolute nicest people we have ever encountered in a B&B setting. You will not be disappointed if you decide to book here. Breakfast was amazing (blueberry pancakes, banana nut bread, fresh fruit and egg souffles - YUM!). The Tilghman Room is very nice - private access off the dining room and a TV (if that's your thing). Better than the TV is the view from the windows - just amazing, you look over the entire property (and pool in the summer months!).

We will be back soon!!

The hosts, Bob and Tracy, were fantastic. Friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful with gorgeous sunsets and picturesque sun rises. We stayed in a cabin and it was perfect. I love that the hosts made our stay so homelike yet special. I came back to work telling everyone about our stay. We had a teen and a toddler with us but I would much prefer to return alone with my husband. Very romantic.
