“Great quick bite. Yummy food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Nice selection of food. Atmosphere is baseball. Servers are efficient and friendly. Food is better than expected every time. Reasonable prices. Worth the trip to give it a try if you are in the area. My two sons, husband and I enjoy it! Great service.

“Good bar food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

We stopped by for lunch on our way home from ocean city. The place is a little dark inside, I wish it was a little brighter. We ordered the wings and nachos. Both were very good!! The wings are very crispy and not fatty. The nachos are huge!! We will be back :o)

“Great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Stopped for quick bite of lunch. We had the Maryland crab chowder. It was one of the best I have ever had. Had the same soup that night at the highly acclaimed Narrows Restaurant and this was better. Also, had the Greek flatbread and that was very good. If you are a Orioles fan you have to come. The memorabilia is awesome.

“First Choice for a Quick Bite Out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Good pub food selection. Burgers are always good and they are trying to cater to those with some dietary restrictions.

“Average food, average price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Big Bats has been a favorite for many years - especially their wings - but it is obvious things have changed recently and they are not all for the better.

The decor is fun, especially for a baseball fan, plenty of TVs to watch whatever sporting event you are interested in seeing. Restaurant and bar are both good size. Some parts of the restaurant are showing signs of age (ex - booths ripped and fixed with duct tape).

The menu has been updated; favorites like wings and crab dip are still there, added interesting items like flatbreads and a greek burger.

On our trip in Dec 2012, the food was simply average. My husband ordered hot wings; he said they had no flavor and they were served on a small plate with nowhere to leave the bones and without celery. Really, who serves wings without celery? My burger was cooked to order and very juicy, but it doesn't come with fries or any kind of side. Ordered the sweet potato fries - very glad to see them as an option - wish they were served seasoned with cinnamon and sugar. The iced tea was so weak it didn't taste different than the water.

Seems to us there must be a new owner or management that is working hard to cut costs. That's certainly understandable, but I don't think it should be noticeable to patrons.
