This was our second stay at the River House in Snow Hill. Sadly, a short stay this time as we were in town for the Osprey Triathlon in Public Landing which required a very early morning departure. But the amazing blueberry muffins we got to enjoy fueled us for the race (perhaps all that yummy sugar on top!). We were surprisingly the only guests in the main house and enjoyed an upgrade to the "west" room. A very comfortable bed and nice room with private bath. Sorry we couldn't enjoy it longer.
On our previous visit in April 2011, we stayed in one of the outer cottages as we were traveling with our dog. It had a lovely view of the river across the large lawn (and the lawn was enjoyed by the dog.). The cottage (the one with 2 units) was a little more well-worn than the main house room, but fine for a country get-a-way. On that visit we had a great breakfast in the morning in the main house.
Not being much of a B&B stayer, it feels a little strange to be walking into someone's kitchen, but that's I guess that's part of what you get with B&B's.
Snow Hill is small cute town, we have enjoyed canoeing on the Pokomoke river, a trip out to Assateague Island, and dinner 2 of the 3 restaurants in town - recommend Palate for more upscale fine dining and Harvest Moon for standard fare with fun live music the night we were there.
