My wife and I decided on Mexican for dinner and since we both had eaten at Mi Rancho in Silver Spring before, we figured it was a safe bet. We arrived and were seated, so far so good. Our waitress began to take our order and an older man rudely interrupts her and decides to take the order instead. After waiting 30 mins for our food to come out, not only was the food not hot, but parts of our orders were wrong. My wife and I were patient, as I said before we'd eaten here before and had positive experiences. So when the waitress assured us she would take care of the situation, we didn't worry. Needless to say, next the same man from earlier, who ended up being the owner, storms over and bluntly asks us, "What do we want him to do?", with a very rude tone and demeanor. My wife and I couldn't believe it. Here we are dining at one of our neighborhood restaurants, already patiently waiting for over 30 mins for our meal and after our order comes out cold and wrong, we're being questioned rudely, by the owner no less, "what do we want him to do?"
We want you to serve us hot food the way we ordered it, with pleasant customer service, let's try that for starters! He took our plates and said he would "re-heat" them. So then apparently he just ran the same food thru a microwave and dumped cheese on it. So after I wait over 30 mins, my food comes out cold, and after I taste it and send it back, you just dump cheese on my food and run it through a microwave, while you give me and my wife a whole lot of attitude. Not cool and not what I would expect from the owner, nonetheless.
We felt like our business was not wanted and were very disappointed by the owner's attitude.
The food is just average really, but like I said, it's a neighborhood spot and somewhere decent to eat in Silver Spring. Well we won't be going back. Customer Service still means something to me. I won't spend my money in a place where my patronage is not valued.
