This is a fun restaurant; wooden floors and muted colour scheme; delightful bar(person) who makes yummy cocktails and keeps up a pleasing flow of chatter throughout; locally sourced and nicely prepared food with constantly changing menu and well-informed staff. We had a guest with 'food requirements', and the server put in a good deal of effort finding out from the chef what she could eat. Our guest was thrilled. Huge jars of marinating bitters (for the cocktails) sit on the staircase. The veggies are crisp and fresh. Don't be put off by the position across the street from a hole in the ground and the Silver Spring Bus Depot. The restaurant is around the corner from the Metro, there is a taxi rank just outside (for the cocktails), and there is a parking garage just behind the building (if you don't have cocktails). Unique and satisfying.
