Once you find this hotel (and it’s not easy) it was more than adequate for our needs. Our room was kind of a weird layout with the couch and chair off to the side and a really weird viewing angle for the TV. The rooms were clean and the king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was basic, but what you expect at a Hampton Inn. The hotel property is actually two hotels, sharing space with a Homewood Suites. They have separate eating areas on the lobby level, but share most of the other space.
The breakfast area was well stocked with many cereal varieties, oatmeal, and hot selections, which featured omelets on two of the mornings we were there.
One issue at this hotel is the valet parking. Although the staff was very courteous, it took 15-20 minutes any time you wanted to retrieve your vehicle. For a daily charge, they offer in and out privileges, but you don’t have access to your vehicle in between. I guess I’m more used to staying in the “burbs”.
With limited low cost choices in the DC area, the Hampton fit the bill for us, and we would probably stay here again.
