“Great attraction for Salisbury & nearby area families!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

This is a fun place to go during the spring and summer months in Salisbury. If you like baseball at all, it's nice because most seats are not bad, and the players are generally friendly and willing to give autographs before games. It's kinda cool because my kids have gotten to see talented baseball players who are now famous. They have their favorite minor league players too:)

It's cheaper than going to the movies (still relatively inexpensive at $7 a person; young kids are $1 cheaper) and they have discounted nights to make it even cheaper. Parking is $3 though.

During the 2013 year they have these cheaper admission promos that I know of:
On Sundays, you get a $2 admission ticket if you bring two non-perishable food items.
On Mondays, get $2 (small) hot dogs, $2 sodas and $2 general admission tickets.
Also, sodas are $1.50 on Thursday nights.

If you or someone you love is 55+, they have the Silver Sluggers program. You pay a flat $12 for general admission or $16 for a box seat, and get tickets to all Wednesday games, as well as a free hat. That generally comes out to about $1.20 or $1.60 per game, which is a great deal. My dad does this every year. I think you have to do this in advance by calling them though or stopping by the stadium during the day.

Also, they have a bunch of giveaways as well as free fireworks at most Saturday games. Google "Delmarva Shorebirds" to find out specific dates for these.

We really enjoy going to the Shorebirds as a family, and try to go a couple of times a month. We usually pick the nights that they have promos or cheaper admission and/or food! By the way, the reason I give it four stars out of five is that, as some have mentioned, the food & drinks are expensive, and on top of that most of the food is just plain NOT good. It would be different if it was yummy, but it's not. I have really hoped that they would get new food vendors, but so far, they haven't. Overall it's not a bad deal though.

“fun family night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

This is a fun time with lots of games and entertainment between innings. Even if you are not a big baseball fan there is lots of fun and food and fellowship with others. Some nights have fireworks and different themes.

“Fun place to visit”

Fun stadium..... lots of special activities...... affordable for families..... like that there is a section that is alcohol and smoke free for the comfort of those that prefer to watch without these "distractions"

“Cheer on your local Shorebirds!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

I've watched a few games with my family at the Shorebirds stadium and we always have had a great time. We came here for a school reading night event and a support group family event. In addition to watching the baseball team and supporting them - there is also a carousel, batting area for kids to play. There is also a covered picnic area for group events.

“Go on a fireworks night!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Great stadium built like the stadiums of old. There are no bad seats as all have good view of the field. Players often stay aa while and sign balls or shirts for kids. Play area and grassy hill for young children. Cold Beer available at one side of concession area. Fireworks are the best - sometimes I go just for them.
