“Historical info about Chesapeake Bay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

This is a good stop to understand more about the history of the Bay and the economical value that it provided for its early settlers. There are plenty of buildings to browse through at your own pace. A good place to explore while visiting St. Micheals.

“A wealth of information”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

Being able to self-navigate the museum, afforded us the opportunity to move around freely and pick and choose what we wanted to see at our own pace. There is a wealth of historical information to learn and the beautiful grounds make it a casual and informative experience.

“go at your own pace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

It was a good look at the past and how life was on the bay back in the day. Don't miss the lighthouse. Look inside the cupboards, in the cooking pots, etc.

“Good, but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

One caveat...I was with 2 teen boys (who are more or less non-plussed about everything) and a hubby with a short attention span. It's nice that the museum is mix of the indoor and outdoor. Also great that you can return the next day for free. I think younger kids would enjoy this more and would be especially captivated by the boats, machines and outdoor exhibits.

“A great way to learn about the area founders”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

Museum is spread out among many buildings and hands-on exhibits. 2 day pass is $15. One of the best features is the location right by the marina and along the waterway. An original lighthouse was relocated to the museum and is available to explore. If you're in the area take the time to check it out.
