Cosy little town but with all you need within short distance and friendly people too. They sure helped with directions when the NavSat seemed lost

“Vibrant town center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Rockville Town Center is a hub of activity. There always seems to be something going on, especially during the summer. They host children's events, live music, movies and ice skating in the winter! There is a fountain where kids can run around and an area with some big rocks kids can climb. It is conveniently located next to the library and is surrounded by lots of restaurants - from starbucks to frozen yogurt to sushi and Thai!

It is easily accessible from the Rockville metro station or there are parking garages where you can get 2 hours of validation from local restaurants and shops. They have a website where they list events and you can subscribe.

There is also a nearby movie theatre and a hotel under construction. All in, there is a lot to explore at the town square.

“Fun town center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

There is always something going on in the town center year round. They've made this a nice destination. Between music, family friendly events, ice skating rink in winter, movies in summer there is something for everyone. Tons of places to get a full meal, snacks, drinks or desserts. Walking distance to the metro and a nice movie theater. Can't go wrong going there.

“Love Rockville”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

Great little town with neat shops and restaurants. We ate at the Gordon Biersch brewery restaurant. Food was good and beer was tasty. There is a walkway from the metro over the road then a few blocks to the town center.

“BEST KEPT SECRET OF WASHINGTON,DC. AREA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

if we want to talk of old 18th 19th century America Rockville downtown is the place. We found multitudes of different restaurants of different types of food everywhere from sushi to,Lebanese, Japanese, Chinese, Frenchand of course the good old fashioned American cuisine.we happened to arrive on the evening of a free family movie ,next to their Central Library in Rockville, and they were showing an outdoor movie on a big screen for all to see at no cost Mary Poppins the old movie of Walt Disney great family atmosphere is my point here.for those with a family this is very budget friendly & cost conscious and very friendly .Very friendly atmosphere.we knew of this because we knew people that live there in Rockville. However, I noticed on their webpage for the city, and a schedule of and or programs of things they have during the summer months for peek tourism time. All the people of Rockville (that we encountered) were very friendly and very happy to give you directions or their thoughts and or opinions of restaurants stores etc., when asked for! Great & unanticpated every time. For this experience and others we found ourselves dining and strolling in beautiful downtown Rockville Maryland . For the budget conscious, approximately: one-third the cost of a Washington DC comparable restaurant? Great times! highly recommended!
