“warm and friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

A comfortable and friendly place to stay when in Rockville, although a bit out of the way for DC. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel is just a bit dated but clean and looking OK. Some issues: Too much room deodorizer used. Parking lot occasionally full requiring parking out on the street. Closest Metro (Shady Grove) is a 10-15 minute drive.

This a very nice hotel. The check-in/check-out was quick and the attendant was nice. The bed was big and comfortable, the lounge chair was an added bonus. The shower and shower head were nice. Very spacious room. While the room was nice the location of the room was a bit offputting. The reason being I was located next to the Terrace which seemed to have some event going on each day which meant a lot of noise during the day. Thankfully, the noise didn't start to early and it ended at a reasonable hour. This hotel tended to stay cold, I guess because it is rather large and would make it hard to heat. The inside of the room was cold as well and at times I had to turn up the heat to 80 in order to get comfortable. There is only one elevator so if you are on the other end of the hotel or parked on the opposite end of the hotel it is a bit inconvenient. The breakfast buffet was horrible for the outrageous price of $10.99. The bacon was undercooked, the eggs/french toast okay, the potatoes were undercooked, the fruit was all bruised and the waitress was slow at bringing the check. There were some cereal and a few pasteries, but for $10.99 I would expect more. Room service was good and provided quick service. I had the salmon alfredo and it was delicious. It is a large hotel with a very nice gym area. Overall a nice place to stay and I would stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms near the Terrace are noisy during the day.

The room had your average amenities, plus sample products for relaxation located on bed. Which they did come in handy because my feet were hurting. The bathroom had french doors which gave a good accent to the room. The hotel has bar/restaurant in the atrium which has good food at a resonable price. If your not in the mood for what the restaurant on site has to offer there is a shuttle bus that goes to two local shopping centers and the metro as well.

This was an excellent hotel. It was especially nice for the price and there was no parking fee included. The hotel was convenient to I-277 expressway allowing for an easy ride into DC. Also, the hotel offered a shuttle to the metro. The rooms were very large and well appointed. Very clean. The rooms do not include a refrigerator but they do provide coffee in the rooms. Hotel staff were VERY nice. This was a great stay. The coffee pot in the room was available to make hot water when used without a coffee pack.

Stayed at this hotel on a recent DC trip. The hotel is a non-descrip 3 story building located in a techie area in Rockville. Hotel is convenient to 270 but nothing is within walking distance. On-site restaurant has options and isn't too expensive. Bedding was comfy but there are few AC outlets in room to charge phones, computer, coffee maker, etc. free wifi and parking provided. A small fitness center has weights and a few machines. Shuttle available to Shady Grove metro. An average hotel stay but I'd stay here in the future.

I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Rockville, MD over 100 times over the past two years and always have a great experience due to the location, accommodations, staff and the very reasonable rate for DC area hotel.

Riz is always smiling and warm, passionate and professional about her work and her desire to make sure I always have a perfect stay.

Would recommend to anyone planning a business trip or a family sightseeing trip to DC.

Room Tip: Corner suites are quite nice and reasonable

I had a single overnight stay and this was a close hotel. The check in was friendly. The after hours "pantry" charged $0.50 for a cup of hot water (I brought my own tea)...that was unexpected and unfriendly. The room was clean and expected ammenities were there. The bathroom was a little worn and the shower curtain and rod have seen better days. The hotel has a central atrium area that my room was on the same floor with so when I got to my room I was startled by a man walking past my window. That was creepy and made me recheck all of the window locks. Breakfast was very good (but not included). Met my expectations for a quick business trip.

Room Tip: Do not stay on the atrium floor... 3 I think it was.
