“still amazing, spotlessly clean..best on the eastern shore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

The Inn is so well maintained, so clean, and just expensive enough to keep the riff-raff out..the marina, run by its leader, Greta, take great care in making sure that the place is efficient, clean, well bumpered, and quiet.

The Inn is the best!!.Great food, super staff, clean, neat , plush..etc!!!! Terry is running a fine place..keep up the good work!!

Based on TripAdvisor's and Frommer's excellent reviews, we expected much more. The Inn at Osprey Point does not take advantage of its beautiful waterfront location. From the breakfast room and dining room, you can barely see the marina which lies beyond the parking lot. There is no common sitting room to relax (especially on a rainy day) or outdoor dining option (except for self-procurred picnics). Our room (Bolero) was charming with a four-poster bed, high beamed ceiling, wing-back chairs, and wood floors. However, the bathroom is small, the gas fireplace didn't work, and the water view could only be seen when standing at the dormer windows, and the TV only carried one channel (Fox news). The breakfast buffet was adequate, but not inspirational. Our dinner tasted good, but the warm fish on top of cold beets seemed odd to us. We don't expect to make a return visit.

Room Tip: If a water view is important to you, stay in the Espanade which has larger windows facing the marina...

We are sorry that your stay felt less than expected. Your comments are appreciated as they help us improve our guest experience here. The bathroom in the room Bolero is small, but adequate according to most of our guests. We agree that guests do find that room to be very enjoyable. Dining on our outside screened porch is available, weather permitting; however, in the heat of the summer most guests want to stay in the air-conditioned dining room. The gas fireplace works when the gas is turned on by staff towards cooler weather, but usually not in August. The welcome sheet on each bed has two numbers to call for assistance. The innkeeper is always on call. It is our goal to take care of problems promptly when they are brought to our attention. We are happy to help! There is cable TV in every room with more than 50 channels. If only one channel was attainable, then an incorrect button was most likely pushed on the remote. We agree that we need to make our waterfront views more visible from our dining and breakfast room windows. That issue is now being worked on. These items are on our breakfast table: bagels, English muffins, yogurts, scones, pastries, a platter of fresh-cut fruit, hard-boiled eggs, granola, bananas, cereal, packages of oatmeal, peanut butter, jams, teas, coffee and OJ. At least one of the following are included as the warm main entree: scrambled eggs and bacon, French toast casserole, quiche, pancakes, or various other dishes.

If a trip to the Eastern Shore is in your plans then this is one place at which you should stay. Elegant, charming with a host of activities to round out your stay. We didn't eat dinner here because the restaurant was closed on Mondays, but we did have the breakfast which was fair. Would like to have seen some home baked goods but we had fun anyway.

We stayed at the Inn after a sailing trip with friends on the Chesapeake Bay. The Inn is relatively new (1993-4) but built to look older, with the charm of an old Inn. The owners certainly succeeded. Upon arrival at the marina the building does not in any way resemble a building you see in many modern marina's, not from the outside, nor the inside. It is all done without looking tacky or overdone.
We saw several of the rooms, they are all very large with comfortable beds and have views of the harbor or grounds. We had a room with view of the grounds, close to the staff office/ check-inn on the 2nd floor. Although very quiet, you do want to close the second door in the room in order not to be woken up by early risers or people coming in late, since they all have to come through the same corridor past your room (and the others). Even though our room was above the restaurant, all was quiet after 10.30pm and before that minimal noise.
We did not have dinner at the inn (the food looked good while having drinks at the bar) , but the (included) breakfast was good, hot and cold, and more than enough.
The small pool was quite busy, with lots of kids, but nice to cool off on a 100 (37C) degree day. Free bikes are available on a first come basis and it is fun to bike around the village/harbor. Staff was very courteous and easily accessible.

Nice place in Rock Hall. We stayed in the Annex which is down the street. Also on the water, nice location but not at the Inn's property-- meaning that you'll need to walk, bike or drive over to the Inn for breakfast or to use the pool. It's probably less than a mile away, but something I was a little surprised of. Not really a problem though. Nice room, very clean. They even put a bottle of wine in our room as we were celebrating an anniversary. Everyone on the staff was really very nice and helpful. My only suggestion would be to improve breakfast. It was a little too "continental" for the cost of this B&B.

I am very happy to write a review about this fantastic Inn and restaurant. We held my daughter’s wedding and reception here. The waterside grounds are beautiful and the rooms at the Inn were perfect. The food served was outstanding. The staff was very professional and really went above and beyond for us. We ran into a problem with an outside vendor that we hired. They dropped the ball and didn't provide everything they were supposed to, when they were supposed to. If it hadn’t been for the Inn’s Event Planner, Casey Callahan, and staff taking the lead on the situation with the vendor, the wedding and reception would have been a disaster. Osprey Point staff understands what it means to be professional and take care of their customer. I highly recommend that you have your event here or just come for a romantic getaway.

My husband and I spent a fabulous night in the "Port Room" in the Annex. To start our stay we were welcomed with freshly made cookies and that was just the start of a great stay. Everything about the room was just so comfortable. Nice soft robes, lots of seating in the room, big soft pillows, lots of little touches that made you feel at home. Very, very clean too. From our balcony we saw bald eagles, swans, red headed ducks, just to mention a few. The sunset was beautiful to enjoy on our balconey while sipping a glass of wine before dinner. When visiting Rock Hall we normally would have eaten at the Waterman's, however, they were closed so we had an equally good meal at Bay Wolf. In the morning we had breakfast in front of a fireplace. Small scones, pastries, bagels, fresh fruit, eggs, and bacon were just "some" of the food available. Everything was delicious. We were so full that we skipped lunch. All of the staff was very friendly and accomadating. We would HIGHLY recommend this Inn to anyone and we know we'll be back soon.
