“Great chicken and waffles and drinks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

I went to the MoCo Founding Farmers for lunch with a friend on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant and bar area are huge. I ordered the Farmers Fizz for a drink and it came in a champagne flute - it was very good, not too strong. For my entree, I ordered the cast iron fried chicken and waffles, which was delicious. It came with mac and cheese which was truly yummy. They have a nice outdoor patio area too but we sat upstairs because it was a hot summer day. The wait staff was nice and attentive. The bill came in a little mailbox which was cute. Its a special occasion type place as its a little too pricey to go there for a regular weekday lunch. But its worth the splurge!

“Great food, despite iffy service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

Waiters seem untrained, trying hard though! When beer finally turned up it was great and the food was tasty. Maybe worth trying again in 6 months time!

“Not fine dining.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

This is an odd restaurant. The quality of the food is relatively high, but the overall experience difficult to capture. FF / Potomac was noisy and seemed unmanaged on a busy Saturday night. Waiters seemed untrained, dropped food just missing patrons and asked, "Did I get you?" That probably accounts for spots on the thin carpet in the barn. No offer of dessert, just a little mailbox set on the table with the check inside. Maybe we were just not feeling it.

“Excellent service and great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

We enjoyed ourselves at Founding Farmers - we were celebrating our grandson's promotion to middle school. I had one of the burgers and asked for the Louie dressing on the side. It was cooked just right. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and he said it was the best he had ever had. The french fries could have been a little more crispy. The popcorn appetizer was delicious. My grandson ordered the salmon plank with the salt block preparation and he ate it all. He wasn't thrilled with the side of cucumbers. Our waiter was very personable and very knowledgeable.

“Go for the grits...once”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Agree with most of the reviews that this is a good but not remarkable place for breakfast. The coffee is so-so, omelets OK, the skillet eggs a bit dry and uninspired. The grits on the other had were quite good, but then again, I'm a Yankee so I don't know that my opinion is definitive here.
