“A pleasant few minutes on the water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2012

The various waterways of Maryland's eastern shore are part of the reason the area is referred to as the "land of pleasant living". But sometimes there is not enough time for a day of sailing. We recently went to the shore for a leisurely drive with friends, making stops in St. Michael's, Oxford, Cambridge and, generally, just enjoying the day. 15 minutes of that was spent as the only car (there were two bicycles also) on this ferry...a nice way to spend just a little time on the water.

“Fun little Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2012

The oldest running ferry in the country goes across the river and saves about 30 minutes of driving to St. Michaels. It's a fun little trip, less than $15 for two people and their car. Just a couple of bucks for passengers only.

“Great Circular Trip to Oxford and St. Michaels.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

Several times a year we take house guests for a ride on this ferry. It is a great round trip. Oxford and St. Michaels both have 17th and 18th century history. Both have direct connections to the Revolutionary War. Once you've been here you'll come back.

“Nice Ferry with a reasonable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2011

Although I wouldn't make a habit of using this for everyday transportation, the ride is pleasant, and the end result really does cut off a piece of driving. This family owned operation is a nice escape on a nice day too.
