After a few years since the last disappointing visit, decided to go there for lunch. When I entered the wine shop bar area, I asked if the restaurant was open. The rather snooty male host pointed to the bar in the middle of the wine shop with a few tables nearby and replied, "yes it is." I asked again if the actual restaurant through the double doors was open and he said, "well if you want to....sure you can sit in there." Apparently they were sitting everyone for lunch in the wine bar/shop. Then they started to lead me to the bar as I was alone, and I said I did not want to sit at the bar. Why would someone who had just asked to sit away from the bar want to sit AT the bar??? I was sat in a corner where the rock music blared in my ear and forced to face the bar with all the old men/early day drinkers hanging out and staring at the tv on with a football game. Or I could watch/listen to the shoppers coming in and opening the cooler doors just behind me to grab a six pack and discuss which brand they wanted. If I wanted this sort of ambiance I can go to a much cheaper bar in a restaurant or eat at the WaWa. The food was overpriced and average. The $8 bread pudding dessert was pathetic. It tasted like warmed up instant pudding placed in a tiny 3 inch diameter and 2 inch high dish, topped with tasteless bread croutons, no sauce. This is definitely my last visit.
