We just returned from a few night stay over easter break at the hotel monte carlo. This was our first stay and we were extremely happy. The room had all the ammenities perfect for our family of 4, which included a microwave, refrig., coffee maker, toaster, iron and ironing board, cable t.v. with disney and hbo. Inside the hotel there was also a subway which was perfect for lunch and they also served breakfast sandwiches. The indoor heated pool was definitely the kids favorite. The location being right off the boardwalk was probuly mine. Just a hop skip and a jump away from the amusements and games. It was actually quite busy during this week up to easter, but the hotel was always very clean. The staff quite friendly and engaged in conversation with us several times throughout our stay. We may not be back to Ocean City this year, however next year the family and I will return to the Hotel Monte Carlo.

We stayed June of 2005 and overall it was a nice place to stay. Our room was clean, with a partial ocean view. We talked with the assistant manager several times during our stay and was pleased with the courtesy of all the staff we come in contact with. The only negatives were the small lobby and elevator and the smallish parking lots. Probably rate the hotel alittle better than average.

we stayed at this motel 2-17 to 2-19-2006,,,was very pleased. we needed late check in and had no problem with that. when we arrived staff was very pleasant.. we got to our room, which was very nice, but we needeed ash tray,, called down within minutes we had one with an apology..the motel and staff were all we expected and we would gladly reccomend and stay there again..

I have just started using trip advisor recently and was so surprised to see a bad review about the monte carlo. My family and I have stayed at the Monte Carlo every year since it opened and we love it. I have a 5 year old and an 8 year old and I cannot imaging where else I would stay to be so close to EVERYTHING! The hotel is safe, clean and convenient. I highly recommend going to the hotel yourselves and seeing what it has to offer. Even if you have already booked somewhere else swing by there during your vacation and check it out. Maybe I am parcial to the monte carlo because I stay there every year now but I wouldn't keep staying there if it wasn't the best location for my family. Make sure you see the rooftop pool deck, that's where we watch the fireworks for the forth of July every year. Good luck with your vacation planning.
