“Prices are outrageous!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

$70.00 for 4 people to eat breakfast. 2 omelets 2 sides of potatoes 3 cups of orange juice and 3 cups of coffee. They charge $5.00 for orange juice! Really!! The food was average at best. Service was good. Atmosphere was average nothing to rave about. I don't mind spending money on eating out, but I will never eat there again. Thinking back now, I should have just walked out when I opened the menu.

“Read the menu first!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

If we had read the menu first, we would have moved on. Omelets are high and don't come with any sides—potatoes, toast, etc. EVERYTHING IS ALA CARTE. The waitress asked if we wanted any hot sauce or ketchup with our omelets. My husband asked for some salsa not realizing he would be charged $3 for a TINY 2" cup. The salsa was obviously from a jar an not homemade. The omelets are large and can be shared, but aren't anything special. General's Kitchen in Ocean City is still my favorite breakfast place. Wish we had gone there instead.

“$$ really?$$”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

$42 for two omelets, 2 cup smog coffee and one side of hash browns is a little steep for me....AND that is without the tip which we always do over the 20% minimum. Service was good and friendly, cool atmosphere, lots of parking, no wait, but the price and average taste of the food will keep me away from this place.

“High prices, questionable quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

I broke my own rule by coming here (if the advertised menu doesn't show the prices, there's a reason and not a good one). Since we are such early risers, it was a task to find early opening breakfast spots in the off season though. We are totally fine with paying for good food but its an absolute joke when the price for an omelette averages about $15, no toast or potatoes, just an omelette. And a cup of weak, yes weak, coffee is $3. The bigger issue for us was the quality though. The color of the eggs in the omelette was light and the consistency and the flavor was watery. I could guess why but I don't know why. Additionally, the floor appeared to not have been vacuumed from the day before. The overdone pink, pink, pink was not to our taste but the important issue here is insultingly overpriced food that was fair at best.

“It's Not Just Breakfast- Its a Special Morning Dining Treat!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

First of all, they really should do something about the word "skillet" in their name. It makes it sound like a cheap run of the mill breakfast stop, and nothing could be further than the truth. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but you don't come here "just for breakfast"- you come for a unique morning dining experience. If you are going to order crepes, and a crab omelette (which we did, and absolutely loved) you should expect to pay accordingly. Would we go here every day? No, but we would definitely do it once during a vacation as a special treat. And unlike many "finer dining" places, you don't get a tiny amount of food artistically presented. The food is well presented, with ample ingredients, and ample portions. The amount of lump crab in my omelette was amazing. The only downside of the meal was the service. Our waitress was very polite and cordial, but not one of the more attentive servers.
