“Disapppointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

I imagine that this was once a special occasion fine dining restaurant. Perhaps this was at the same time it was decorated, the 1980s and the same era of the easy listening music played by the piano player.

In 2014, it is an over priced restaurant in need of a new menu and chef, as well as a face lift. My daughter refused to eat her lasagna and my linguine with shrimp and crab was ok but not delicious. We appreciated a refund on one meal which we did not have to request. The view of the bay is nice, though when walking outside to the deck, we encountered what appeared to be a staff break area with a flower pot full of cigarette butts. The service was very good but could not compensate for the poor food.

The menus is extensive, the food is expertly prepared, the sunset views are breathtaking and you are never rushed. Highly recommend this for any couple looking for that "special treat."

“Consistently very good.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

We have dined at Fresco's many times over the years and every time the food and the service are excellent. The crab cakes are a favorite, yes they are pricey however they are the best crab cakes you will ever eat. All lump crab and broiled not fried. Delicious! The pasta, veal and seafood are all very good and the portions are ample. A perfect evening is watching the sunset over the bay while having pre dinner cocktails at Jive (attached to Fresco's), great martini's and service, followed by a delicious dinner at Fresco's. When traveling if we are in the area we will stop in Ocean City for an evening only to have dinner at Fresco's. That says it all!!

“Best Meal So far This Summer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

My sister, my niece, and I went on a summer evening to Fresco's and had a great meal. Sat by a window with views of the bay and had reservations, which are recommended. The Caesar salad was great - lots of garlic and Parmesan with crisp romaine. Croutons could have been more flavorful. The escargot in pastry was tasty. Eggplant around angel hair pasta was wonderful, especially the sauce. Only complaint was that there was nothing else served with it for 21.99. It needed a little something else on the plate. The best dish was the veal and lobster! It was to die for with generous portions of tender veal and a good sized lobster tail in a wonderful sauce. It was served with potatoes, green beans, and carrots. Very tasty! The service was great, too. The only problem is rumor has it that one of the only true good dining experiences in OC is leaving, along with the great martini bar, Jive, at the end if the summer. Get there soon before they leave!
