“What a treat! nice way to learn and spend an hour or 2!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

We had arrived during a cool week with some rainy weather--decided to take our hosts' suggestion and try the museum--what a nice find! The info is very interesting, great old photos of past shipwreck tragedies and the life savers at work--vivid history-remembrance of former veterans of the area also depicted in a slide show. The entry gentleman is pleasant and enthusiastic, obviously proud of the museum, as he indeed should be! The boats and equipment and salvage memorabilia is fascinating--I highly recommend this -especially if you grew up near OC as I did-or have no knowledge of the importance of lifesaving at a port or waterman's location. A very good find!!

“Learning Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

It give you a "real feel" of how it was over the past years and how we have advanced over the years. If you are looking for local history, this is the place to go. Great day for family outing.

“A Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

The lifesaving museum is a wonderful historic experience of Ocean City. It includes sea life such as sea horses., terrapins and crabs. A sample of the displays are old bating suits, veterans of Ocean City and the history of the boardwalk. Many free children activities and free tickets available at the Info Booth on N Division Street.

“First museum my 6 year old loved”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

My 10-year old son wanted to do this one, but I wasn't sure if my daughter would appreciate it. She loved it! Make sure you have your children get the scavenger hunt pages when you get there . . . my son enjoyed finding the answers to the questions, and my daughter loved looking for the little sharks hidden in each room so she could fill out her form. They both got prizes for completing them, but they were secondary to the experience itself, and they both actually learned things while on vacation!

The museum is very well maintained. Lots of information. Has great local support, you can tell by the personal information to be found. So glad that Ocean City kept this original building.
