Went Labor Day weekend-Tuesday. Been here 3 other times. Place is bit rundown. Here are problems:
- condom wrapper under bed that i discovered when looking for son's toy. Maid didnt clean well
-The bed linens are worn- bedskirt ad drwaings on them from a kid. My kid pointed out " Look at happy faces"
-Mold--bathroom was moldy as was kitchen tiles near fridge
-Bathroom--rain shower doesnt get out shampoo. I had to fill cups of water from sink to rinse kid's hair

Bar/Food-- Was good but service to get drink at pool bar and inside STUNK! One bartender would give kid's meals free, other made you pay if they were eating by pool.

Pool- inside pool was plain NASTY!! Hair floating around, looked like scuzzy bathtub shared by many. Needs to be filtered better
Outside kiddie pool-- kids love it BUT only 1 life gaurd on duty and he did very little. They changed hot tub rules to 16 and over (Used to be for everyone) Now all Lguards do is police that area instead of drowning kids.
The pool sides were scuzzy. Few years ago someone wiped down walls of pool daily. Not anymore.

I asked hkeeping for more towels--they said no. Called front desk- They brought some up.
People grab tables by pool then sit at beach all day. Very little hotel can do.

-Game room-- like a game closet with older games

Went to Hilton. Although it isnt on boardwalk, it was gorgeous!! Starbucks inside, good game room with ride on games, clean pool. I think since price is same, I'll head there next time

This is a very nice hotel for families. We had an ocean front view with two queen size beds. This was very comfortable for my husband and two kids ages 2 and 4. There was plenty of room for all of us. The hotel staff was friendly. We did not have any problems with the hotel. There are plenty of places to eat near the hotel. No problem with the free parking. We stayed during the peek holiday season. With 2 young kids we needed a suite. Though it cost us $409 per night ($445 inlcuding taxes). if we go back again we will stay this hotel again. Maybe when my kids get older we will not need a suite, and will find something less expensive. They had some activities planned for kids at the hotel, we did not have time to do them. We had a nice view of the beach and the pool. The view from the 10th floor was very nice.

We made a three night trip (August 28-31) to Ocean City. I am so glad we stayed here...We arrived very early--0830 (having left our home early to avoid any traffic) and felt so lucky to be checked right in. There is a fresh fruit basket right at the front desk that seemed bottomless. The queen size beds were very comfortable, the kitchen filled with a good amount of basic necessities (including an initial courtesy amount of dish soap and dishwasher soap), and two TVs. The balcony was very private--and what a view. We had sprung for ocean front view and it was worth every penny. The dolphins entertained us every morning, and the beach and ocean create an awesome view. We experienced no alarms going off. Our room was closest to the elevators and right across from the courtesy laundry machines and we were never bothered by any noises. Although the rooms were cleaned later in the day...who cares? I left notes for the cleaning staff if there was something I wanted special attention for and they always accommodated my requests. I really liked the location---just outside the busiest parts of the boardwalk so the noise level was minimal, but close enough to dart out for many of those tasty boardwalk treats and fun. The pool areas were nice and there were daily activities for the kids. We will stay again

All of the comments regarding the alarms sounding in the middle of the night are absolutely true! We stayed at this property this past weekend, and at 2:30 a.m. we were awakened by loud blasts, flashing lights, and a voice over a loudspeaker saying to evacuate the premises. Having read the previous warnings, I must say I was not surprised, but nevertheless, very annoyed. When I asked the front desk manager why this problem keeps happening again and again, she replied, "Oh, someone's smoke alarm went off in one room." She tried to deny that this was a recurring problem. When I said, "Trip Advisor has listed several reviews that mention this problem," she said, "Oh yes, well we have to follow safety rules." I suggested they look into the issue, and she seemed not at all concerned about running a hotel where guests are awakened at 2:30 a.m. Another guest told me when he stayed here a few months ago the same alarms went off twice in one night! He said he was hoping for the best this time, but then muttered, "never again."

For the prices this hotel charges they need to address problems like this. Not once did anyone from management offer an apology to the guests.

I totally agee with the TripAdvisor Member from Maryland who stayed at this hotel this past Aug 5 -12. I, too, had the same issues and problems that you described when we stayed at this hotel in August of last year. Our first two nights were also interrupted in the wee hours of the morning by the fire alarms and strobe lights which also terrrified my son who was 4 at the time. We were also told by guest staying there that this happened the night before also. So, obviously, there is some kind of "problem" with their alarm systems. Our room was also not fully cleaned. The furniture was stained, the frig had old food that was not cleaned out from prior guest. We also had problems with getting extra towels in the room. After a day at the beach, we wanted to come back to the room, shower off and enjoy a nice dinner; but our room was never cleaned before 4:00 pm. When we complained about this, we were told that the cleaning staff was cleaning other rooms of guests checking in and as we were given that courtesy when we checked in, we should understand this for the new arriving guests. This is unacceptable after having to pay $400+ a night for a room. Also, when asking the cleaning staff for towels, they would speak to each other in Spanish and basically talking about what a pain I was (not knowing that I understood every word, being that I am Spanish, but I guess I didn't look it to them). When I told them that maybe they should think about what they are saying about a paying guest before they opened their mouths, they were dumbfounded that I understood them. The front desk had the same attitude about towels and arguing that there should have been towels there and basically "assuming" that I took the towels. Why on earth would I want to steal your towels. There were none to be stolen if I wanted to anyway. We won't talk about the parking issue either. If a hotel can accommodate that many guests, they should also provide ample parking. I truly don't understand how some of us can have the experiences we did and others "rave" about how wonderful this hotel is. I must have spent my entire vacation with blinders on.
