This is the worst hotel I ever stayed at and it is not worth one cent first of all when I got my room I turn on the AC it made a horrible sound the palce had a horrible smell and the Bathroom was small after I took my shower I went to pick up a bath towel it was durty. The swiming pool was not that grate it only went up to 6Ft and it was very small. The worst thing was the cleaness of the room I would give this hotel a 1 out of 4 stars.

This hotel is a nightmare. It is absolutely filthy. The shower had black scum in it and the maids never cleaned the bathroom or the floor. They just replaced towels. Screws were sticking through the ceiling and the walls. The kitchen utensils were filthy and thrown in a tray under the bottom of the filthy sink. We were afraid to reach under there. The toaster oven was so filthy and rusted that we couldn't use it. Water continuously dripped on your head out of the air conditioner over the front door. WE did not have a screen on the balcony. The couch was full of sand when we checked in. The jacuzzi near the pool was so green that no one went near it. WE had three rooms for all our family members. We were all miserable. Everyone of the rooms were terrible. The phone in my sisters room didn't even work. She told them three times - no one came. We were never given toilet paper. We had to ask every time. The people at the front desk were terrible. They either didn't know what you were saying or didn't care. There are a lot of nice places to stay at the beach - this is defintely not one of them. You will certainly feel like you wasted your money. And it was not cheap.

Hi I rented a suite at this hotel in 24 th street in Oc I will never stay there again. The problem is that the carpet in the room and on the balcony was always wet.The carpets on the entrance of all the balcony;s are soaked from the condensate from the airconditioners .The room I stayed in had the wires for a smoke detector but there was none it was ripped out. there was sheetrock screws popped from the ceiling there was no screen on the patio door plus it took 2 people to open it up.The cabinet doors were screwed on with sheetrock screws and you couldnt open them to get any of the untinsels that were supposed to be available. The front of the sink fell off and hit my wife on the foot when my neice shut the front door. The shower had black soap scum on it as well .Man I hate hotel bathrooms. We even had to get our own toilet paper. When you take your luggage in you have to roll over all these bricks and everything falls off the carts continuously and the walkways are uneven on the upper floors and that kncks off all your stuff.Believe me I have stayed in a ton of hotels at the ocean but man this is the worst ,plus the front desk no one can understand you they are all from some where else. All I can say is think twice before you stay there .

The room accomadations were Okay but we were supposed to be in a non-smoking room and the room reaked of smoke! You could smell strong smoke odors in the room as if someone was smoking next door and the smoke was filtering in our room. All of the rooms in that area were supposed to be non-smoking. All our clothes had to be washed when we returned home because of the strong smell.

I know you can not control children but at 1 or 2 in the morning we could hear adults and childrens talking loudly from the room above us.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Howard Johnson Oceanfront Inn. I believe the only thing that saved this vacation was the fact that we were given a fifth floor room. I was told the fifth floor was a new floor,so therefore everything in it was new. The kitchen area and the bathroom were brand new as was the carpeting. The one bed was broken,I assume from someone jumping on it. The one thing that really concerns me though is the comment in the previous review about the cockroach. I saw one on my balcony the 4th day of our stay. I tried to convince myself that maybe it wasn't a cockroach but it was. That in itself is a reason I probably won't stay again. It;s a shame because i really liked the room, but then only because I was on the 5th floor which was new. I peeked in other rooms on other floors and they were disgusting for the money. Old and dirty looking. If you are going to stay here insist upon a room on the 5th floor.
