Having read the reviews here, which ranked On the Bay the best in Ocean City, MD, my wife and I arrived on probably one of the last warm days in October to see what the fuss was about. We ordered crabcakes and creamy crab soup, which were decent, and the prices were reasonable. Fine dining, it is not--served only in take-out style styrofoam clamshells. The staff was friendly and the place was clean, but remember, you are on old painted white wooden picnic tables placed in sand. Our biggest disappointment was that though the bay/ocean are a few blocks away, the place is right on the major highway that splits the spine of Ocean City, and you have no real sense of being anywhere but on a highway. It is noisy from constant traffic and auto exhaust competes with the food. Too bad this place was not right on the Atlantic Ocean, or on the bay.
