I've been tent camping at Swallow Falls State Park for 25 years. The campsites are wooded, lovely and well planned. There's hot water for washing dishes, along with big, deep sinks and a wooden "counter" to put them while you're washing them. The restrooms & showers are clean. The ranger camp store has firewood & other necessities. It may be a hike to the dumpster, but that keeps scavenging animals away. Two night ago, our camp host in the Garrett loop put on a fabulous fiddle & guitar impromptu concert. The park itself may be the most beautiful one in Maryland. I am so pleased to introduce my children to a place I've treasured for years.
