“Still Incredible”

This is our third stay at Lake Pointe Inn. Snow covered grounds and frozen lake. So very beautiful. The Innkeepers, housekeepers, and all of the staff are exceptional in doing their jobs. You feel welcome. Always a friendly, helpful atmosphere. Our favorite B&B to relax and enjoy. We stayed in a different room this time and loved it. They have added special touches to a number of rooms. After a day out in the cold walking around or tubing/snowboarding at Wisp it was so wonderful to come into the inn and stand by the warm and welcoming fireplace, go up to our room, soak in a bubbling spa tub and/or our shower with multiple shower heads and then slip into our cozy bath robes. The breakfast is delicious and different each day. The afternoon treats are scrumptious and the wine isn't bad either!!! Even enjoyed the outdoor bonfire and roasted homemade marshmallows. It was cold but fun. Enjoyed checking out the DVD's and working on the puzzle(and helping complete it). Loved watching the birds at the bird feeders as we ate our breakfast. So many special things about Lake Pointe that I can't express to you enough that this is a B&B you much check out. We have already booked our next stay. Can't wait. You can't go wrong with a wonderful place like Lake Pointe Inn.

Room Tip: Have stayed on the 3rd floor corner(Lake side) which was wonderful and the 2nd floor inner room by t...

We just returned from a Friday-Sunday trip at the Inn. This was our second time at the Inn. Fantastic stay. I have Celiac's, (necessitates a gluten-free diet), and Ed, Chris, and the whole staff completely accommodated me dietary needs. It was perfect; I didn't have to miss out on any of the meals or snacks.

We were fortunate to have the local Firefly farms, artisan goat cheese, come visit the Inn, and offer samples of their cheeses and wines as part of the Inn's appetizer's hour. Wine and hors d'oeuvres are fantastic any night, especially if you eat a late lunch, and stay in the rest of the night.

On our full-day we thought about visiting Swallow Falls (which is fantastic winter or summer - great swimming- ), but Hurricane Sandy/Winter Storm apparently left 30-48" of snow throughout the county, which downed numerous tree stands. So we headed East in Garrett Co. and spent the afternoon driving and hiking through Savage River State River/Park, and Potomac Forest. A great day trip, and beautiful drive (Pick Ed's brain for great spots to visit, he knows the county really well). At the Inn in the evening, the outdoor fire pit is a nice cap before turning in.

We'll be back!

Room Tip: Browning Room: Lake Side. Great view. We have stayed in this room twice. Excellent. It's at the...

My husband planned our trip to the Lake Pointe Inn to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. We had a relaxing and lovely three days at this small inn on Deep Creek Lake, enjoying mornings and evenings in the cozy livingroom in front of the large wood-burning fireplace; the rocking chairs on the front porch with a view of the lake; the outdoor firepit on a cool evening; and our lovely room with it's comfortable bed, lake view, and gas fireplace. The innkeepers are very friendly and welcoming. There is a lot of attention to detail at the Inn. They bake fresh batches of chocolate chip cookies every day as well as banana bread. Breakfasts were delicious, varied, and there was plenty to eat. Each floor at the inn has its own coffee machine and a small refrigerator with complimentary sodas, beer, and wine. In the living room there is a decanter of sherry for after-dinner relaxation in front of the fireplace. The Arts & Crafts decor is not only charming but also beautifully maintained. It's like being a guest in the home of a good friend who is also an interior decorator and who loves Arts & Crafts! Unfortunately, local dining is not the best, particularly if you're used to Washington DC, Baltimore, or Philadelphia standards. The area really could benefit from some high quality restaurants. The best thing would be for the Lake Point Inn to start offering dinner in addition to its fabulous breakfasts!!

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the lake but on the third floor, for the best sleep experience.

Just returned from a very relaxing weekend at Lake Pointe Inn. This place has thought of everything as other reviewers have stated. Loved the stocked refrigerators and cookies! Our room was beautiful and very clean. Met some new friends and toured a beautiful state park nearby. We really enjoyed the boat ride but my favorite part was definitely roasting the homemade marshmallows over the fire while visiting with other guests. We will definitely be going back!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sang Run room on the 3rd floor which was very pleasant. It is directly across from...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Inn for his 30th Birthday. That Inn was fantastic and we had a great stay. Everything is thought of....from the amazing rooms, to little things you may have forgotten to bring. We even felt like we had the place to ourselves at one point, and sat by the fire in the family room..enjoying the overlook of the Inn. It rained two days we were there, but that didn't affect our stay at all....we enjoyed every second at the Inn and won't hesitate to go back for another, possibly longer stay. Can't wait to visit again!!

My husband and I stayed at the Lake Pointe Inn October 2 - 5, 2012. We were celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary. The Inn is so beautiful, staff incredible, and we felt like royalty during our stay. Our room was the Friend room. It had beautiful furnishings, a glass fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and a two person shower ( I loved the bathroom door and shower tiles). In the morning guests have an "over-the-top" breakfast, wine is served at 4:00pm, followed by an appetizer. You have to try the home-made marshmallows and cookies. They are the best. The Inn has so many thoughtful touches such as newspapers, reading glasses, a cabinet with emergency items in case guests forget something, candies / pretzels in the living room, and nightly chocolates left out for guests as they retire to their rooms. Each floor has an area with self-serve coffee and a fridge stocked with beer, wine, and sodas. The nightly pontoon boat ride is wonderful. We went two nights in a row and we were taken to completely different parts of the lake. My husband and I loved every minute of our stay and we will definitley return. The only thing that the Inn could improve on is how breakfast is served. Guests are given one entree choice in the morning and if you do not like what is being served, you do not have a second option. It would be nice if they told guests the night before what was being served for breakfast or offer guests a choice between two breakfast options.

Room Tip: Get a room with the lake view. It is definitely worth it.

The Service at the Inn was impeccable. They've thought of everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, down to the littlest of details. The Rooms are cozy. The home made breakfast are out of the world.

It's nestled in a little development and from the street it doesn't look like much. But the trees make you feel isolated while sitting on Deep Creek.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the Deep Creek Area, but I would surely go back just for the Lake Pointe Inn. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Stayed in the Browning Room. It was fantastic. Overlooked the lake and was really cozy. But I don...
