This hotel is a perfect place for a conference! Close to BWI. Good meeting space. Great staff. Convenient shuttle. Comfortable beds. Did I mention the great staff? I would definitely recommend this hotel....oh it's also close to some of the best cracks in the world at G & M restaurant!

We live in Baltimore but my wife and I needed two extra nights to make Hilton HHonors Gold before a certain date, so we booked two nights at the Hilton BWI for a staycation.

Many reviews on here report the Hilton BWI as being modest and for the most part, that's true. There's no marble or gold furnishings but the price was also very modest as well, which overall makes this hotel an excellent value. For a few bucks more than the Hampton Inn, Hilton BWI gives you access to an indoor pool, bar, restaurant, cafe, room service, conference rooms, a business center with brand new iMacs, and for eligible Hilton HHonors members: a VIP floor and executive lounge. All-in-all I think that makes Hilton BWI a good buy.

-Many of the perks of a fancy Hilton (indoor pool, cafe, room service, business center) without the fancy price.
-Next door to National Electronics Museum ($3 adults/kids free, 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor)

CONs
-The VIP floor Executive Lounge is only open Monday through Friday.
-There was some airport noise. I hate exterior noise. I have and will move rooms or even switch hotels for some types of noise such as road noise or construction. However, I did not find the airport noise at Hilton BWI bothersome in the least, it was quite soothing actually. During our stay, 15R, the closest runway to the hotel, was being used for takeoffs (10 was being used for landings for the other nerds). Takeoffs sounded a bit like very distant rolling thunder. By bedtime, very few planes were taking off. If you have an issue with airport noise, I recommend requesting a room that faces away from the airport.
-The elevators gave a poor first impression of the property. The carpet was dirty and needs to be replaced and the metal doors were all scratched up. The hallways and other spaces were fine though, so the poor condition of the elevators was just strange.
-The smoke detector had two bright flashing green LEDs that did get kind of annoying while trying to fall asleep.
-Room service automatically added gratuity, a service charge, and a delivery charge. I understand the gratuity charge if they made it more clear it was included. A service charge and delivery charge are just ridiculous on top of already pricey food.
-There were very limited vegan options on the room service menu and at breakfast.
-The only delivery food options were pizza and Chinese.

My room from the VIP floor has a view of one of the runways but I didn't hear a thing. Tastefully decorated room and the Hilton comfy bed I really love. Nice bar with specials and a big lobby with iMacs to check email and surf. A very well equipped business center as well. Large indoor pool and jacuzzi. One of the best workout rooms I've seen in a hotel.

The hotel was clean,we'll kept and welcoming. All I can pick on them is they need a few more channels on the wide flat panel tv.

Close to the airport and light rail. I'll be back!

I needed a room between flights. My room was clean and fresh. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful upon my arrival. And before I knew it I was back at the airport, thanks to the free shuttle.
